The requirement for grace is dex, not int - why does he have issues with grace because of low int ?!?!

I assume he meant hatred.. temporal chains is also intelligence (and possibly something else?)

Regardless, this build requires some 50-odd intelligence from gear to use the suggested level 20 gems.

Would this build be possible as CI with some changes?

EDIT: I tweaked Kripps tree alittle removing life nodes and Brutal Blade. But im worried about my mana/mana regen with the 2 auras, would mana leech on a ring cover it? and if its possible to get the colours i need for double strike ect on a pure es or es/armour chest.

Hey everyone, this is the type of build I was looking for :D Very glad to have found it!

I'm very new to PoE and I'd like to get your take on how best to direct your point spending on the passive tree. I'm still very low so my options are open, I'm currently heading for Wrecking Ball (can't wait to see MC dangling naked off my chain :p ) but after that, I'm at a lost.

Is it better to zoom to the keystones and fill up nodes afterwards?

Iron Grip looks to be a key element for the spectral throw, should I make a beeline to have it as soon as possible?

How about Thick Skin and it's life nodes? or Executioner/Vigor?

Unwavering Stance? Blood Drinker?

While I only have Hatred + Reduced Mana so far without yet incorporating Grace, I'm still having some mana issues around lvl 41.


I was wondering if it would be better to use lower level mana flasks before getting to the point where you can use Blood Magic gems? I haven't tested it but wouldn't lower level mana flasks allow you to spam more Spectral Throw's before filling up your reserved mana pool too fast?


I don't see how anyone can efficiently use Grace + Hatred before being able to incorporate blood magic gems into your skills.

Keep in mind I'm using Reduced Mana + Hatred and I'm still running out of mana flasks a little too quickly...

I'm starting an HC build very similar to this, but using blood magic passive.

Any thoughts on Faster Projectiles as a support for Spectral Throw?

I've just put it in mine as i'm leveling to the higher support gems, but it's increased AoE due to the speed of the projectiles seems well worth it... Or is it simply superfluous?

you should pick up a Wurm's Molt (adds 2% life leech & 2% mana leech)

If you don't want to spend the 4 chaos or whatever people are asking for that belt you can simply put a mana leech gem into your Sectral Throw + LMP combo (for example: Spectral Throw + LMP + Mana leech + Faster attacks if you have a 4L, drop faster attacks if you have a 3L)

edit: this won't allow you to run 2 auras yet (i agree its way easier if you have bloodmagic for that) but it will clear up any mana issues you have until you can start using blood magic

You really should be fine with 2-4% mana leech from gear until you start to 4l/5l. Spectral Throws mana cost stays relatively low and as long as you are upgrading your weapon, you shouldn't really need to increase the links on it.

I changed over to Blood Magic Gems at 54 because I had 2 5L items at that point - this may not be viable or necessary without at least 4l on both Double Strike & ST, but I also switched over to Haste/Hatred using Reduced Mana in order to maximize DPS (softcore).

Faster Projectiles is not very good for Spectral Throw as far as a DPS build is concerned - it has some utility, such as using it for off-map sniping / culling for Merveil .. etc, but overall the gem is poor for this build.

You cannot run 2 Auras and play mana-based without picking up Charisma for reduced reserved mana, or some other reduced mana aura. Once you start to hit the 3 attacks per second with 4l Spectral, you would have enough mana for a single ST.

If you find yourself mana starved, don't run auras - the earlier levels, it is that simple. You do not necessarily need to run Hatred until you pick up enough IPD/WMD nodes to make it impactful, as having the ability to sustain ST without stopping is really what makes this build shine when leveling.

Personally believe Kripps build is quite strong.
