Iggy's Spectral Throw Build! Combines the best of ALL worlds. [SC/HC]
And here another build taking 'melee physical' nodes for Spectral Thrower. ST is a Projectile skill, not a melee skill.
Have you guys tested that those noedes actually add to your ST dps? |

" yes please keep me updated. trying to decide what curses to go with. projectile seems like a good choice, but I think vulnerability will probably be better for increased dmg. warlords mark would be an awesome choice too for the build if you run into big packs and low mana |
|
" lol i took 1 melee physical node to get to other nodes. please check yourself. |

Nvm ... I see now that it applies to the weapon and not the skill (I was thinking of Wrecking ball)

One thing I didn't like about this build is the use of resolute technique. Crit-based builds have a lot of possibilities in the game now that cast on crit gem is available. I asked people whether this statement is true: If one ST misses an enemy, all subsequent ST will miss the enemies - and there is not even a single person who can attest to it. Are you sure ST works this way? Because if it doesn't, then there is no point in taking Resolute Technique at all.
My wife stole 10 levels from me, and my job stole another 2. That is why I am still level 88.

What about stuff and speacially weapon? If we use Staff (need 113 intel if I'm right) because they have the best dmg, we maybe need to change the build because of a lak of intel.
We can have 2x 30 intel from nodes and more by stuff... maybe a Carnage Heart with the hight leech life and hight + all attributes... | |
Those "weapon elemental damage / catalyse" nodes close to templar start, are they really worth it? Do they actually add any damage? They only increase the elemental damage? But spectral throw doesn't deal any elemental damage does it? So it only increases the damage from "Added fire damage"-gem (and if you have some elemental damage on gear)?
I've never really understood how those nodes work, but doesn't sound too appealing to me I understand it's the nodes the the left and right of them which are the main reason to go there, but that's a lot of wasted points to get up there, especially if the weapon elemental damage nodes are not too useful also (I'm thinking more of a lvl80ish build by the way, as I doubt I'll bother getting 90+) Last edited by Spamb1t#3330 on Oct 27, 2013, 11:34:14 AM

" when I was leveling up I definitely remember throwing out a ST and it missing every single mob. I'm assuming it would work just like LA or LS or Double Strike+Multistrike without RT, which is if the first arrow/hit misses, they all miss. |

Im done now with my finetuning for a tanky HC/Nemesis built. I removed the path to Thick Skin and instead I grab all lifenodes+armornodes in marauder tree > I get more life than Thick Skin Path + No waste in dex nodes + Armour nodes in marauder tree and saved still 1 point.
After that there is room for dmg nodes/more life/armour. Thanx OP for the inspiration, here is the build: Last edited by Ir4kandj7#5512 on Oct 27, 2013, 12:34:20 PM

^ This is exactly what I had in mind.
I'm still not completely happy about the duelist part however, but I can't find room for improvement. I tried to go by Cloth and Chain instead but it seems worse. Oh by the way, you can remove the +10 strength above Armour Mastery. Last edited by bm01#6065 on Oct 27, 2013, 2:30:03 PM
