The coil does NOTHING for damage that isn't Physical. You're just as vulnerable to it as without it.

I really like the idea of going a bit more crit.

do you think there is any posibility of incorporating RF into this build with some passive tree work arounds ?

In theory, yes. Take a lot of regen nodes, take the +2% Max Resist nodes, and get the last Aura circle to make Purity of Fire give 1 more to max. Even then, and with the Rise of the Phoenix, I don't think it's really worth it.

You'll need to run Vitality and Purity of Fire, so that's some mana lost, too.

In essence, you'll give up a lot of nice stuff for it, but if you just want DPS (and you have the currency / gems for it...), go for it.

I've been looking at gear I could buy for this character and was wondering if it makes sense to already buy a lightning coil now and if so, should I buy it linked for some exalts or buy it cheap, but without links/sockets?

Getting a Lightning Coil is a good investment, anyway. As for how? If you can get it 5L for 2 ex or less, do so. If it's more, make it yourself.

I now have like 5 ripped ek builds on standard.
My current nemesis EK lvl 68 is doing fine.
Decided to get more life earlier on and wait with MoM till I got like 400 unreserved mana while running Clarity hatred and Grace.

I have decent gear. My two best pieces have no life though,

Have to replace them. At the moment I am running a lvl 12 artic armor. Got my resist up to 65+ 75 75

I tried some maps earlier today a bit to hard going back to farm docks for a while till I am like lvl 70 then try maps again.

I have a 5 link chest piece which is decent cant use it till I get some more mana.

Saving to get an alpha howl which I hope will give me a lot of extra mana.

Still dont know if I go EB or not depends problaby if I find a shield with spelldamage and es.

I did invest in a q20 ek gem though when I started for the 6th time.

Ouch at all those deaths. Mind telling me what got you? Seems like I don't die except to stupidity (piety/dominus with damage mods and such).

I die becouse i get blinded by nice effects on gear so i forget that i need health and resists as wel.
So usually i run around with 2k hp and 50% resists wich is alright until you hit lvl 60ish.
Then at 62 i get one shotted by something. Rogue exile the viper strike guy, Volatile ice blood while my cold resist is 10%.
Basically my own fault.

This char now has 3200 hp 1000 es and good resists 65,75,75,-17
So my hopes of staying alive are soaring
