didnt they changed the way iron reflexes works?
you build isnt actually that good anymore cause of some "missplaced" nodes where i think i got some better uses for.
as far as i know IR converts evasion rating first and then doing all the %based things. which will make bonus evasion % useless for IR and only %armor viable.
i might be wrong but thats what i just red in some GGGstaff posts

After the IR change i think i lost around 1k armor, so i was back to a massive 14k armor.
Its very much worth taking, it converts evasion after the evasion % nodes.

Been using this build since the beginning and all went extremely smooth. Except now, I hit a Big, Big and dirty wall at Act 3 Cruel. I'm level 48 and I wonder if you got some tip for me.

Here is my gear:
Spoiler

1110 HP/16 Shield
2630 armor (52% reduction)
Fire:32
Cold:45
Lightning:60
Chaos -20% (obviously :P)

and build (still have 10 remaining passive point):

Is there any major flaw? I guess that I need life leech but I can't find any... On what does it spawn and which item slot should I get life leech on and what % am I supposed to have to be able to survive?

Finish up with the life nodes if you think you have life problems, then get Heavy Draw cluster.

Another person that is doing this build had much of the same problem around cruel, Baron1 was his anme i think, mana problems, life, leech, all that, but once you pass the wall, then you will be ok. It is the hardest part of the game in my opinion, no gear, no life, no damage, nothing, its quite horrible that diffuclty, you just have to get through it the easiest way, farm ledge, and then fellshrine, that way you will be the safest, then move on to merciless and continue.

As links go, i suggest you do everything you can to do damage early on, like use added fire damage gems, use faster attacks instead of faster projectile on the frenzy too.

Thats 100% truth, had the same problem at lvl 48-50, then I somehow managed to finish act 3 cruel and farmed xp in act 1 merc ( ledge ) till lvl 60, now everything is going smooth again even with no extra dmg gems. Each lvl will get easier because you will get phycial dmg / critical nodes.

when i hit lvl 53 i used this. my level 52 bow was HORRIBLE, but i managed to crawl my way into glory. i used 1 alch stone and got crazy lucky (really shocked me when it came up with such good stats). before that, i had spent like 50 alteration orbs on decimation bows and only got like 43% damage bonus.

rain of arrows is decent for this build because it works well with mana leech. right now i got mana leech gem in 2 of my skills, the passive 2%, and a ring 2%. rain of arrows is also more friendly to life gain on hit and mana leech for people who only use a 2green-1red linked item.

before i hit level 53.. hoooly crap did i suck. then i hit level 53.. now all of a sudden i can beat peity on my own (well.. almost on my own: her shield is a beast after all).

here's the passive skill tree I used at level 54

^ What a godly bow o.O

======================================

Would you recommend Wurm's Molt unique belt or is it a big no-no because there's much better than that?

PPS: Would you spend an exalted on that bow?
(had found it with only one red socket, spent ONE jeweler to get 3 green one red and TWO fusing to get it 4 linked xD

Great guide.

I'm using the HC build on a non-HC character, if it's alright, do you think you can make a walkthrough for every 20 points or something for the HC passive skill tree? Doesn't have to be all the way to the end, just so I have an idea on what skills to get. Haha. XD

Thanks! :D

(I realize the RoA quality is not linked to my main stuff because I just found it and its still weaker than my normal RoA)

just not sure if you are aware but your pierce and increase crit dmg are not linked to anything (support gems must be linked to skill to have any effect) so they are not doing anything for you.

Will try to find the most optimal point allocation per level.

Replace the bow, thats the most important thing and you MUST get life on gear you have life on only a few pieces and that will make your survivability qutie low, also use grace instead of haste for more armor, always use grace.

when your resistances are maxed replace purity with haste.

Hello VictorDoom, thanks for a great guide. I'd really like your input on how to progress from here with my first phys HC-ranger:
Spoiler
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgIBCC4OrRR1GY4a2yP2KaUwfDWSPs9KfU2STshRR1b6WkhnoHRBhxmHdpC-m42qf6q4sNK95sHY0anTfu2D7g7veu_w-WP8xQ==

My idea was to actually move north from here, to get the nullification nodes, life nodes and evasion+energy shield nodes around the Shadow class start.

However, after looking at your build I see you moving west and getting Resolute Technique finally.

My questions are:
1. Will Energyshield+Evasion not really help me survive in the lategame of HC as a phys ranger?
2. Is movement speed really not necessary, seeing as I've already spent 5 passives to get 17% extra. I really believe high MS has helped me survive alot so far and I can imagine it being even more useful in the lategame but I dont know..
3. Can I still save this build, maybe sacrificing some offensive nodes to still have the MS-nodes and go towards RT?
4. Does your thoughts on Skills/Auras/Supportgems to use as a phys-ranger apply to HC as well?

Cheers!
