I whould rather be glad to see fixed rates in game itself, like you can vend 1ex for 30 chaos, 1et for 3ex and etc. So you do not need such sites in first place.
If orbs is a "currency" then ex to chaos rate should be allways the same, since 1 cent is 1 cent does not matter what, you don't have to pay 150 cents to get $1 does not matter what, its still 100 cents, even though for $1 today you can buy one sandwich and tomorrow it will be $5. Oh i see!
There is no way you can prevent someone to link YOUR profile to HIS name, right ? Furthermore, A website where we can agree on rates and stick to them for a very long period would be awesome. The reason these sites are dieing or not working is that it's too hard to put a definite value on orbs.
If there was a VERY rough value for new players that could be useful so someone doesn't sell a mirror/exalt/eternal for an alch or something lol. If you just watch trade chat the prices during the day can change depending how many ppl are online and how much someone wants a certain orb. It'll never work no matter what system you come out with. |

There really isn't a need for one. If you watch trade chat for more than an hour you can get a really good idea of exchange rates / what things are going for. Theres no auction house or anything to enforce any kind of set in stone exchange rate. Some people are more jewish than others, it all depends on who you are dealing with, which imo makes it fun.

this is an accurate to STANDARD LEAGUE on going rates, and they update the website every single week sinces its been up. Ive found this as someone who turns currency all day long to be a benchmark, but you have to remember depending on the time of day a lot of people wont trade to "typical" rates, and will either gouge, or pay a little more.. perfect example is early in the morning (( like 4am eastern )) you can sell exalts for up to 32 chaos in normal, but by mid afternoon you typically wont get more than 28 per chaos.. the rates change daily, but like I said, this is a great benchmark IGN : IfritsCurrencyCatcher / IfritsZealot / IfritsCIArcher
