- Creates a temporary copy of the other equipped axe/sword/mace, effectively "mirroring" the item, but without sockets.

- Whenever there is a flat physical damage range, the maximum value will be picked. "Splashes 50% of Critical Strike Damage taken to Surrounding Enemies" - When you take a critical hit, you expend a power charge and 50% of the total damage that was dealt to you by the hit is "discharged" as area damage in a small range around you. If you have no power charges, nothing happens. "Take 20% increased Extra Damage from Critical Strikes" - Additive to the nodes close to Marauder starting point. If you take both of those nodes and use this weapon, you will have 15+15-20 = 10% reduced extra damage from critical strikes.

- The resistance is temporarily reduced only during the enemy's stun animation, and has to be a hit with this weapon specifically. The initial stunning hit will not benefit from the reduced chaos resistance. The resistance reduction does not work against Chaos Inoculation as it's defined as an "immunity". "All Physical Weapon Damage Converted to Chaos Damage on Critical Strike" - Specifically "weapon damage", does not work with spells etc. |

The problem with most of what is posted on here, is that most people try to create something that ends up being Best In Slot for pretty much any build, or trying to create something like 8000-9000 damage with 10% chance to hit. Isn't the point of Uniques to create something that is build-specific, or something that has certain drawbacks that force players to work around them for their benefits?
I'll probably post quite a few uniques here just for the hell of it. I don't have $1000 extra dollars laying around to spend on creating my own unique. Maybe GGG can start a pool where people donate until $1000 is reached and then the community votes on a few pre-selected but user-created uniques? This unique is made for some very specific build ideas. (However the item type was meant to be a armor/ES hybrid pair). First, all gem sockets must be red. That limits the main skill to: Flame Totem Infernal Blow Molten Shell Searing Bond -Infernal Blow is already a widely used skill thanks to FaceBreakers and Melee Splash. -Flame Totem might be a bit less viable with this build since burn damage will be low even with a crit. -Molten Shell used with enough crit chance could cause some very high burn damage. -Searing Bond is currently completely not viable for a main damage skill. These gloves could change that completely. -These gloves would also work with virtually ANY melee skill with an Avatar of Fire build. Also, red support gems just happen to include Fire Penetration, Added Fire Damage, Increased Burning Damage, Weapon Elemental Damage, and Reduced Mana. wow i really love the idea of mirroring your mainhand weapon to offhand but no sockets, thats frickin sweet.
now i just need a ring that adds to frenzy charges (so i can have 2 more) and the world would be perfect! |
