I went through all the pages and reread the original post, but I don't think this is covered anywhere. With all these donations, what is to stop someone reselling their 'right-to-mirror'?

Don't get me wrong, I know it would be impossible to enforce how donating individuals use their mirror rights. This actually makes it more attractive for people to donate I suppose - if they don't 'win' and have no interest in getting a copy for themselves, then they can always opt to resell the mirror rights for profit.

Do it matter ? Not really, thats just part of the game :) But seriusly, who can't use a dagger like this one kolp is building :) In the end it would be the same as get a copy of his dagger, and then sell it off :) So whatever really :D But yeah i follow you 100% :)

He's writing down the names. Would you give your ~100ex mirror to a friend so that he can mirror that dagger for you? Most likely not. Reselling the dagger will result in a net loss. So.. why would you?

No, that's not what I mean.

I mean I donate an eternal. This gives me the right to copy the dagger once, were I to supply a mirror. I can sell this right to a third party. This party provides me a mirror and a fee and I subsequently have the dagger mirrored. I could do this if I can't afford a copy for myself (I have never seen a mirror, personally).

Disable is right though, in the end it doesn't really matter. There is still limited availability (just how limited depends on how long it will take till flaring is hit).

This was my intention when I started this lottery. Several people have donated 2-3+ with the hope that once this dagger is finished, the can sell their "extra" mirror opportunities to other players that didn't participate in the lottery. With release coming up (lots of new players), anarchy ending, demand will go way up for the dagger I think. Supply will be pratically zero, since there will in all likelyhood be less than 50-60 copies made (ive had 30-something eternal donated so far with about another 10 that I havent collected). Basically by not mirroring it anymore, it becomes a "legacy item" much like the new Kaoms and the ons/ana uniques. A lot depends on how long this dagger will remain BIS- if it stays the top dagger for the next 3-4 months (which I think is highly likely - probably longer), people with extra mirror opportunities stand to make a nice profit imo. I will have to work out a system obviously to avoid people pm'ing with stuff like "yo Kolp, just bought a mirror chance from Disable, you ready?" when they are just lying.

I think if nothing else it's a neat experiment and shows the depth of what this game economy can become for innovative entrepreneurs. Will it work? Who knows....basically the mirror chance is yours after you donate- what you decide to do with your chances is up to you. Use it yourself, give it to your buddy, auction it off, give it away- up to you.

That was 100% what i was thinking, i think it's a nice kind of lottery :)
