I have been following your post closely, and my character is pretty much complete now.

Lvl 82
31k dps with lvl 19 hatred
3583ES with lvl 20 discipline
48% dodge without grace
75% all res

My gear:


Besides the claw, which is impossible to get a better one, could you advice what I can upgrade next? I think my shield needs more ES and less EV.

pretty much how I feel with all my gear on now =P

I posted earlier and made changes that helped but I still feel as though my character is less than optimal. I am currently level 82, 3.8k es with discipline and 15k dps with level 19 hatred. Only difference I have made in my build is that I have had to spend 3 passive points on strength/int nodes as I was unable to obtain it from gear atm.

Note the untility gems don't make sense as I'm just putting there to level them.

Claw is actually upgradable by far, although it will cost a fair bit. And yea, the shield drasticaly needs an upgrade =P other than that, your gear looks fairly solid. Obviously with some tweaking with rings/belt you could get a bit better, but it's mainly just the shield (although it does have amazing ev), if it didn't have that life roll I would say exalt it for flat ES

My claw has 297 dps, I got it very cheap only 5ex. There's one for sale 296 dps, but with more accuracy and 1 slot for ex, c.o 25ex... hence why I said it feels impossible to upgrade the claw anymore, plus there are no better claws actually for sale.

The shield yes I agree could do with less EV and more ES. It was left over from an old life max block max evasion build, but at the moment, 3.5k ES is sufficient for maps probably till 72.

Good thing about the shield is I don't need to run Grace, and I still have 48% evasion. I will sell the current shield first before I buy a higher ES one.

@biralo: your shield needs 400+ es. it's our main source of es. better aim for 500+ es actually

So for some reason, I picked this build as my first character.

Now, 100 game hours later, I'm level 73, and haven't died in quite a while (dom). I can farm Piety pretty quick, and lvl 66/67 maps are a cakewalk.

Still trying to accrue enough currency for an Alpha's Howl, but I was able to 6S my Carcass Jack with only about 40 jewelers, and I've gotten my gem setup pretty close to finished now. CwDT skills going off constantly makes this build so much more fun.

Just wanted to say thanks for a fun build.

Here's my gear for anyone curious.


I know there are some obvious upgrades I need, but since I can farm Piety pretty easily, I'm just gonna keep doing that until I can get an Alpha's.
