Just curious, how does your armor build stand up to GMP voidbearers? I'm running http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgYB_5MeGjBUmVcoKrVIsbPtQaZ_h9vrY5matvcRL4hr44RjQ_LhwuxHBl9q2-eaeK0e3UgOSKc0EZZ_xiepwcXsGMNtcLvZEy9vLL-GrhXX14ZWY6KjwfNtGTvh4venK7TFKwrBANsaEHv1S746QFVvVwyNDUltbFM1m7UZivsJ9toaj8M6Vi2sf97lykpvnoMJRnHhiB2qGYaS86xHks3rLCpNPydKyBUgLOndDVuvTioppRjbdPEhYECg704otSo476Dtdmp-Ff3WB2ce this build with 5k ES, 75% fire resist, and 12k unbuffed dps (17k with charges). The 100% chill avoidance is extremely intriguing, but I probably will have to drop 3 auras (currently hatred/grace/discipline).

Been doing alright except I still die extremely fast to voidbearers, especially if they have additional projectiles. I know arctic armor is one good counter to voidbearers, but do you notice the higher block rate from talents making a difference? On second thought, spell block probably won't be much higher as I have 26%/7%, and even with 40% it would only be ~13%.

With capped res and 4k es, I have no problem with the voidbearer boss with boss dmg and GMP mod on the map. Just heal out of it if i'm running a fire flask. On regular rares with LMP/GMP though, I just heal out of it unless there's crazy map mods.
Yeah I just ran a rare 70 map with GMP, +20% dmg/cast speed/atk speed, temporal chains curse and before I could hit a voidbearer I was already at ~half ES. Maybe 70% if I had a ruby flask running. Granted voidbearers died fast enough that I could just kite and kill them one by one, but the dmg is still unreal.

eh...Im really not sure man. Alot of people seem to have problems with them, i personaly never have unless severely undergeared. I do, however still have my thoughts as to whether they're Pure Fire dmg, it feels like armour helps against them sometimes, but maybe just a feeling. Just to see whats up, what is your dmg reduction?

With 3 endurance charges I'm at 71%. I can see having higher consistent damage helping a lot with sustaining through their fire though. Keep in mind that map had temporal chains, so I was especially slow in getting to the voidbearers and hitting them (even with flicker strike).

Here's my in-town damage.
Spoiler

I don't think my phys dmg goes any higher in maps and I'm lacking the sockets for a life leech gem on my reave, so I can see having higher physical dmg per hit making a huge difference for consistent sustain.

yo ushouldn't need LL gem, with the passives, a 3% claw and decent leveled bloodrage you will get more than 20%

Other than that, I honestly have no answers, if they hurt you so badly I guess running a fire flask perm isn't all that bad, and just keep your distance with charges up, once you start hitting them they should be getting stunned a bit too. :S

Yeah I don't normally have problems as long as I'm paying attention, it's just unnerving to see them still shred ES the way they do.

I ran my first cells map with -17% max resistance mod. Didn't know about the LMP boss.

However I did kill him with a bit of ingenuity. I use a Cast when Stunned blind Shockwave totem. What I did was remove my Cast when stun gem to bait his incinerate away from me. Since those dog's incinerate do not change target during 1 cast period, you can get a few hits in. Worked pretty well for me.

However if I get GMP dogs as a normal pack in pier or wharf, I try to use reave's range to avoid getting shotguned by it by kiting them through other mobs and reaving.

mostly i don't even notice the voidbearer boss until he drops the loot in the map.
in a -20% res + gmp + some dmg modifier mod map i noticed its damage but i never got under 50% es.
