 GGG has added fish stats to a new base item type for one reason: To continue the rumors. The rumors were so popular that they added a stat (WHICH DOES NOTHING) to the game to make ppl talk about it. Basically it does nothing and will never do anything and probably has a drop chance similar to a mirror.
