That would be nice. Something for ES versus elemental ailments would be great too. So many people complain that ES is sub par. Keep saying it ;)

I have the acquity version on my skill tree. Is the vaal pact better? Should i change to the vaal pact version? I am level 89.

To my knowledge it's not an issue of which is better, but if you have acuity or not, and also if your damage is high enough to need vaal pact. I've been going on the assumption vaal pact is not neccessary until you can one-shot youself versus reflect mobs, which I haven't, so thus no VP, I will pick it up later though. If you have acuity you do not need VP.

Without Vaal Pact, life leech occurs at a base rate of 20% of maximum life per second. The duration is the leech amount divided by the leech rate. Multiple hits do not stack; only the fastest leech at any point in time will recover life. The maximum leech rate is thus 20% of maximum life per second. With Vaal Pact, the amount leeched is reduced to 40%, but the leech is instant, so the full amount will be leeched regardless of timing or magnitude of hits. The amount leeched is thus only limited by damage dealt.

With acuities you bypass this and instant leech 100% on critical strikes both ES and mana. So if you have acuity follow the acuity tree as stated above.

Hey Atlas! First let me say, GREAT build. I am having a blast with this spec since I switched over to yours from someone elses.

let me post my current gear before I ask questions.

My Gear:



Current Tree @ level 90:



The holes in sockets are due to me not being able to get a 3g 1r in either the boots or the helm to add my vaal haste.
As you see above I run your tree , I recently switched from another reave build on the forums to yours lost about 120 ES but gained 20k DPS. Worth it! Thanks. I run VP as I can not afford acquity's.

Current Stats:

Current ES: 8028
DPS w/o charges or atziri flask is 71.3k
DPS w/ Charges is about 91k.
DPS w/ Charges + Conc effect (For bosses) is about 140k.
Life Leech : 14% (With VP I think its actually around 5.5% , not sure)
Mana Leech: 4% (your 2% on tree from mind drinker plus 2 % on a ring), then additionally the percent based on power charges due to auxium.
Free mana : 98

On to the noob questions: (Sorry if they annoy)


Can you give me any advice as maybe take some time to check my current spec/gear and perhaps give your input and recommend specific changes? I would benefit greatly from your expertise here. I know my gear is trash in comparison but I find myself dying frequently to certain bosses ( Crematorium, and that damn Flame blasting exile). The other thing that kills me is when I see my character just standing there though i'm clicking attack like a mad man and dying due to no leech coming in. I assume this is desync or maybe I am running out of mana thought I don't see that is possible between my 4% and the auxiums 1% per PC.

Should you have the time to reply to this post (hell you wanna play as well not sit on the forums, lol) let me know what you recommend and what order of priority you would pursue what ever gear upgrades you are advising.

Am I dying due to Desync or being out of mana or is it just insane burst damage that VP/GR/Life leech cant counter?

How to avoid deaths vs crema boss, Flame Blast exile, and to a lesser extent the Academy boss depending on mods.

Can you look at my gear and recommend upgrades/change and a prioritization order to do them in?

Also am I running far too much mana leech 4% PLUS Auxium? IF so should I drop auxium and the 3 nodes in your tree (Mind drinker) and use only 2% from ring?

Does anyone know what shield he has in the picture at the top of his thread? I moused over and saw thousand teeth of teemu, which is not the same looking shield.

@ChestyPuller get legacy crit multi on your amulet
