What do you think of this tree for 1.2?

I didnt like how it seemed so many points were spent on travelling through the tree to vaal pact
I didnt get any mana reserve because I dont see a need to run tempest shield.
I focused a little more on ES getting about 20% more max ES
I got some increased area and area damage nodes

My stats: 430% crit chance, 131% crit multi, 312% phys dmg, 142% evasion, 165% max ES
your stats: 600% crit chance, 171% crit multi, 308% phys dmg, 56% evasion, 142% max ES



I guess you could say i focused on defense stats a little more. Just looking for an opinion

Would this build be decent for starting out in a new league? Will it work decent with "starting" gear?

CI is generally very gear dependend. With the increase to base life and the new life/ES hybrid cluster it will be signigicantly easier to transition into CI though.

A good crafted amulet will add alot to total dps, remember amulets can roll up to +24 phys dmg, 70 crit multi, 38 crit chance, 400 accuracy rating and also bonus life/mana leech. Of course with a mediocre amulet the skill points may be more useful, however unwavering is also quite close to vaal pact which is key to this builds survivability (unless you have a pair of atziri's acuity). Lastly the skill points that are required to get it also lead past a number of useful passive points and also grant stats which help alot with gearing.

BTW, if you use poebuilder, note the app is NOT adding to the stats the 20% crit multiplier from the two nodes close to Adder's Touch.


Stats tested with Full Attack & Spell DPS Calculator:

Reave DPS: 166587,14 (Reave + iAoE + ICD + MultiStrike + Melee Phys dmg + Melee dmg on full life)
Critical Strike Chance: 77,54 %

Energy shield with Discipline: 13888

I don't know what I will do with the last 3 points yet. I have an unfinished ring that I might put the new 20% Es on. This tree gives you a huge uptime of immortal call as I found my only weakness was the trio in Uber atziri when using cwdt instead of self cast. Again this build is flexible enough to swap stats around to shore up your own weaknesses depending on your goals.
