playing on texture quality 7 can apparently have some plus sides. no logos for me only puddle of green razer shit
I love this game. I never complain. But, I agree with the slippery slope argument. I don't like feeling like I'm being pimped out. It really cheapens the game experience when you're being propositioned to buy other shit that you don't want or need. If I felt like this game was ad-supported, I wouldn't have thrown the money I did into it.
+1 against advertisements in games. I spent a lot of money on this game with the thought that I was helping an independent developer. Partnership would be fine. neon green "razer" effect would be fine. But this is just stamping logos all over the game. I know I dont HAVE to get it, but like many others said, it leaves a bad taste and cheapens the game.
Disgusting sell out resulting in blatant in-game advertising for real world companies. Not only pathetic, but very much against the mindset GGG has suggested they have in the past. Even worse that its to promote a completely unneeded product that little to no one is going to use.

I hope this is only happening because GGG is having financial problems, and not because they actually think its a good idea.

People are simply voicing their opinions. Why do you want the game to fail?

inb4 some kind of apology where chris is confused by the feedback and highlights how out of touch he is with todays gamers

This really isn't the direction we were lead to believe the business model would be taking when the microtransaction system was explained as we moved toward Open Beta.

Yeah.

If i'd known GGG were planning and/or cool with in-game ads, i would not have shipped them my moneys, knowing that i'd later be paying through advertisements anyway. I don't like double paying. Every time i see someone running around with these footprints, it is like i'm paying money again.

These footprint are super cool looking! I love my Razer Naga! I've had it for over a year and it works GREAT! (usually by now, my mouse would be crapping out on me!) Way to go on the partnership!

Chris, can you take a closer look on this:

If you equip the footprints and use Arctic Armour, you can't see the footprints at all because the frost path of Arctic Armour covers the footprints. I dunno if this only happens with these Razer footprints or also with all other ones, I only have these here to test and it is really disappointing not being able to see the footprints.
Imagine if you paid for one of the footprints and just because you use Arctic Armour you can't see them lol. If it happens with all footprints, I advise you might take a look at the effect from Arctic Armour and replace that with an effect that actually lets you see your footprints (the effect is way too big and cluttery imo).
Unarmed for life! (although I do like maces too recently)
Doesnt really look that imposing to me, dont get why some ppl are so itchy about this, instead of coming fourth with bad premonitions on how everything will be filled up with ads, lets see how it actually impacts the game first.
That the game is getting a ingame comm tool like that could also be a good thing, I hope it works out for GGG reaching their goals.
If not, i'm sure we'll let GGG know about it ;)
