" Feels like they're going back on their word about keeping everything in the game strictly to the lore, how you won't see anything such as dragons etc in wraeclast, including new unique having such restrictions. Then again I guess this doesn't apply to micro-transactions. |

Got them, they look cool and to everyone concerned/complaining: The novelty will wear off, soon enough. In any case, they gave me the chance to try out footprints in general to see if I like the effect and maybe buy some from the shop. :-)

Good to see you guys getting this deal :D.
Personally I think the prints look fine, won't be bothered by it at all. |

You guys have been on a roll and I love this game, but this a horrible choice. If we're to see more in game advertising, I'd rather this be a PAY TO PLAY game instead. Count me out...

" As much as I hate to complain, because I love the game, I must say I agree with this. Had razor gear, promptly replaced it (I have a new gadget fetish) due to poor performance. Lore / Theme wise, maybe a 'Razor' weapon effect could have been more subtle than the footprint billboard. Several razorblades circling the weapon. It's not the logo, but it's relevant & couldn't be directly perceived as advertising. I won't redeem it, but I'll continue to happily play & support where I can :) IGN: Wraewych (81 Fireball Crit Witch) - Selling her Gear in this thread:

Regardless of hardware allegiance wars--
I hope that the substantial amount of disapproval in this thread is enough to make GGG reconsider further deals like this in the future. Arguing that a corporate logo fits the gameworld or that the company is run by nice guys is completely beside the point. If it's a financial concern, then it should be possible to disable in-game advertising for accounts above a certain support threshold. Something like Twitch, where you use advertising to monetize your playerbase, while allowing dedicated users to opt-out for a fee. This really isn't the direction we were lead to believe the business model would be taking when the microtransaction system was explained as we moved toward Open Beta.
