[2.0.4]PewPewPews Official Flicker Strike build!

Sukha: Why I don't get the resistances? 6/6/6 isn't that much. It's only 18% combined. The three nodes above Sentinel give that already, plus those are three of the nodes near each other.

You don't need it. Get some decent gear, and you will be overcapped anyways. If you really need the res, it can't hurt to get them, but I simply don't need them :)

Taz: Awesome! If you haven't started yet, I expect to have my noobfriendly Flicker striker up tomorrow, one not item dependend(high unique dependend I should say). You might want to wait until I got that one posted(still doing a little bit of research about leveling etc).

Yeah, I'm sorry I was still a totall noob when I made that comment lol.
This is my first Charracter in POE :D

Are the Evasion nodes on Ranger tree a waste? Should I reroll Duelist? Life regen seems to be Key to sustaining Blood Rage....
Really been enjoying this build so far and I'm not even done with Normal yet. Looking forward to reading about the new build!
If you are a ranger Sukha, you will love my new build; My Flicker Striker for Starters is a ranger :)
To answer your questions: No, they are not a waste. And you could reroll, if you want to follow this specific build, but you will manage just fine as a ranger. The few points you get in eva/life, are also very useful.

Happy to hear Stoops! And well.. feast your eyes, I finally found some time to finish my Flicker Striker for starters!

Nice guide dude.
One question. You think it could be possible to swap all dual wield nodes(dmg, block and speed)
for one handed nodes since there seems to be alot of them too and maybe get shield in use..?
I love the build but one question. Do you think it would be worth it to pick up iron reflexes? I hear armor > evasion and getting iron reflexes would give you more options when it comes to gear choices.
Trip: maybe, though, you will lose a lot of DPS in the end. Right now, I feel like I am perfectly balanced between DPS and survivability. But it might be possible.

Squally: No. I don't think it is.
Right now, I am using both armor and evasion. With a granite, I get over 8K armor, giving me around 40% damage reduction, which is great for small hits, but not large. Due to grace, I have around 40% evasion, which is nice against high hitters, but not small hitters. If I turned my evasion rating to armor, I wouldn't get 80% damage reduction, but most likely around 50/60%; higher armor/evasion, hold less value. So if you go with both armor and evasion, you will get a higher overall defense.

I'm sure that I'm missing something here. I've havn't used flicker strike yet. However, could someone explain why I should dual wield? And how does the weapon speed affect flicker strike? Woudn't a high damage 2h be better damage wise?

/Edit: Never mind it. Was already discussed on page 2.

You are not, it is something I should add to the first post. And I plan to! Including a little FAQ, explaining some of the finer details among this build. Though, not now. My eyes are growing rather sleepy. I will most likely do tomorrow :)

Anyways, A quick quote from somewhere in the topic!

Why dual wield over 2handed?

Soul Taker.

Other then that..
- Higher attack speed, meaning thus higher movement. Most mobs can't touch me due to the high attack speed, before their attack even lands, I'm already 3 blocks away.
- Dual wield can block, which is particular helpful against hard hitters, the number one cause of deaths in most melee build. With the block, blind from the BoR, and the evasion, hard hitters, will have a hard time hitting you.
- You get both damage increase from one handed and dual wield nodes, keeping your dps high as well

A 2hander gets higher Damage on hit for sure, but will also be much, MUCH slower, which allows the mobs to hit you more often. Since you also miss the block chance from not having a shield, Heavy hitters, might be a problem here(same with vulnerability etc), even though you most likely get more health nodes from the tree if you're going with a 2-hander, evening the survivability out.

Basically this is another approach to flicker strike. Instead of trying to kill one mob with high damage, I weaken entire groups of mobs with each hit, eventually killing the entire group, granting me full stacks.
The high attack speed is just awesome, and very viable against single targets and groups :)

About leveling: I leveled this guy with cleave until I hit lvl 19. Then I got myself a melee splash gem, and went with FS + Melee Splash until the far 50's. I started using multistrike(and blood magic)on FS when I was doing merci ledge, since the mobs there were easy enough to do so, without having the risk of dying(wasn't wearing any good gear, so I lost quite the bit of HP when I started Flickering on HP).
I found two good weapons on my ledge runs, that brought me easily to 67, where I could equip my Bringer of Rain, on just a 4 link(Flicker strike + MultiStrike + Melee Splash + Blood Magic), though I suspect that if you get a blood dance as soon as you can, it will even be easier for you leveling up from 44 to 67 :)

Edit: Hah, I see you found it as well ;P

I am currently level 51, following your guide(which is excellent by the way) and I was wondering until what level should I keep the two uniques (the wurm's belt and the Slitherpinch)?

Thanks by advance :)
