Not entirely. If you notice you have plenty of damage you can try it out. Try experimenting with gems to see what you prefer.

Did anyone try cyclone + blind + faster attack? I think cyclone's fast attack per second could blind enemies pretty easily. This could be an alternative to those who don't have BoR yet (like me :( )

Man... I can't be more happy that I stumbled upon this build. I just bitch-slapped Vaal in 7 seconds at lvl 30, with crazy ass 1655dps on Dual Strike, and 712 on Cleave (using Cleave till I figure out how to deal with mana problems).
Recorded the fight so new players can see how crazy efficient this build is from start.

I actually really like Cyclone, and haven't found control to be much of a problem accept in areas with lots of environmental objects. Then cyclone can get stuck on them. But then I'll use LS or WB to get off the object and start spinning again. But with cyclone I can pop quicksilvers while spinning and clear areas really fast.

I have a 24% sash and decent (not amazing) jewelry. Just trying to get an idea of what tooltip dps I should be aiming for with Cyclone.

What do you think of Elemental Adaptation on the tree? Is it needed?

If you swap Cyclone with Dual Strike - what DPS do you get on tool tip ?

not sure i know what you mean ?
it does work as you can use either Cyclone or Dual Strike and do good damage etc.
i run Dual Strike build as i don't like Cyclone that much:
