[OSX] Unofficial Path of Exile port - 30/12/2018 status update
" Hmm ok thanks. He says now it says " The file is damaged and can't open". Sorry to do this 3rd party but I am helping a friend who is not a computer wizard. |
|
" In this case, following the install instructions would be the best solution. But I would guess the downloaded wrapper was corrupted or not downloaded correctly. (You didn't specified when the message appeared... while opening dmg, while copying it from dmg.. while launching the game.... etc...) |

Thanks for the help bro. I am a Windows expert but this is frustrating doing it over a Mac with a buddy who doesn't know computers well. He says " The game was erased from my computer and now I cant re download it. There is no file on my computer called path of exile. When I go to open the new file, it says it is damaged ant cant open" Appreciate any help you can offer :) |

I downloaded this port and it has work great up until recently when i got to the end of Act 2 where the world goes completely black other than item names and waypoints. I can still see the HUD and other menu screens but the rest is just black. It happened once before in the Fetid Pool, but had a friend help me walk through it, but was only happening in that one area. Now it is the entire world. Would this be a problem with the textures i have downloaded, or because of the fact that I'm using a Mac to run it? Any help would be appreciated greatly! Thank you.

" Huh? This happens only when GLSL is not enabled. (steps how to enable are in FAQ - Game will fail to load with D3ERR_INVALIDCALL) somehow your game didn't produce mentioned error, but the solution is same (if you are using wrapper 3.6 or 3.1. If you are using 3.7 or 4.0.1 please post your mac specifications (OSX version, RAM, GPU) |
|
" I had this same problem. In options, turn off "post processing" It worked for me. |

Been having a semi-regular crash now. Now sure if it's related. This is the message that the game spit out.

Hey, first of all, thanks a lot for your work, it's very much appreciated.
Now to my particular problem. When I start the game, I get a white screen with the in-game mouse icon. If I click, there's sometimes a weird assembly of in-game icons (such as potion slots or menu buttons) on the top 10% of the screen. I can't do shit. I couldn't find anything on this subject in this forum, except for a single thread with no answers from like a week ago. Already tried turning off pretty much everything in the ini file. 2,66 dual core Intel Xeon 3 GB ram NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT with 256 MB Lion 10.7.5 Any help would be greatly appreciated, I can't wait to play this game. |
