hi i use the client for about a day of playing, i get like 4 fps drop in a minute, and i cant play with such things so i just used bootcamp, maybe i'll just wait for the official client for mac, but thanks for the effort and time to make this client, its really awesome if it got no fps drop. :)
Wine is resources demanding, anything that rub in background may slow the wine/game considerably..

Hi Mac´ers (and Julus).
Thank you for making this. I wonder when game companies will take mac owners seriously. Mac sale is going good, while PC sale is awful :)
Anyway, im experiencing problems here as well. Having the new laptop series with Retina display and Geforce 650 1gb DDR5, 8gb RAM.
The game runs acceptable, but like 30min-1hours of game time, The machines starts to run the game slowly (like a memory dump) and then freezes. - And then the only thing I can do is turn off the laptop.
Im running the 3.6 Wrapper with Forced fullscreen option in Wine nn OS X 10.8.2 (12C3006).
Any suggestions of what i might try?
You should try resetting the SMC. There's a known EFI bug on the 15" Retina that can downclock and lock either the CPU or GPU at their lowest speeds, sometimes both.
Here's the link to an eleven page thread on it at MacRumors
http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1452267&page=11
I myself have a 15" retina and so far PoE has run really well. Although I've only played a few hours.

Runs on my 13" Macbook Air (mid-2011).
Pretty damn impressed really. Now to angle my monitor so the boss can't see me playing :p

Hey everyone,
I downloaded the 3.6 Wrapper and everything worked fine, but now I want to start the game but it says checking resources all the time.
Here's my MB:
MacBook Pro 13-Inch
2,3 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)
clues? :)

I installed POE a week ago (V3.6) and it ran perfectly at the time. Yesterday when i tried to play it again it updated to 0.10.0c and the game launches but its resolution is like 20x20 pixels in the top left corner, I can drag the window across the whole screen but the resolution stays the same. I also can't get in to the options panel to set my graphics settings. Note that everything worked perfectly a week ago but after the update I got this problem. I've tried downloading V3.6 again, let it update but still the same problem.
I've read through some of the last pages and didn't find any info.
Running a Macbook PRO late 2011, shouldn't be the problem since it worked out perfectly before.
EDIT: Just remembered i upgraded my OS to 10.8.2. Does that matter? Is there a way to fix this without playing through bootcamp?

This actually runs under wine. But it is nice wrapped, so non-technical users can use it.

Every time there is an update, it will check resource, which can take a HELL a long time... (up to one hour).

You just need to edit one text file (production_config.ini) details are in FAQ in 1st post (Game opens in too small window)

Simply put, it is an application to run Windows software under Mac OS X or Linux.
If you want to learn more, see Wineskin homepage and WineHQ. Or ask here if you will.

I may be wrong but if it's a Wrap It can't be a Port right?
Sry misleading thread title.

With Wineskin both words wrapper and port are often used interchangeably.
