Hit Cmd+Enter to enable full screen. When you stretch the small window, the window itself enlarges, but the X Windows server doesn't remap the mouse's interface to the new size. Once you're in the game you may have to try different resolutions within the game settings to get it to match the mouse (especially if you're running in windowed mode).
There are a lot of useful tricks in the OP if you're having more problems.
I'm having a similar problem with the window opening ridiculously small. Changing it to fullscreen mode or changing the resolutions just results in me getting a white window/screen where the game would be, and cmd+enter has no effect. Any other ideas here? I'm running v3.1
Try changing resolution in production_Config.ini.
You can find it in Documents -> My Games -> Path of Exile. Or search with Spotlight.
Open production_Config.ini with TextEdit.app for example and in that file search for "resolution_height=xxxx" and "resolution_width=xxxx". Change those first to correspond your native resolution and save, then start the game again.

Hey Julus!
I have a few things I need off my chest ^_^
- Nothing but respect for all the people involved in the "Unofficial Mac Client" for bringing us mac users into the world of POE without the hassle of Bootcamp (my superdrive is dead...)
- Basic installation of wrapper is very doable. It's just all the little tweaks are FAR beyond my reach of knowledge sadly...
- Without this client i would have probably cut my losses and would have never picked up this truly awesome game!
- Everything works @ 99% for me, It's just like someone mentioned before on this topic when you encounter rare or unique mobs you get lag/graphical spikes wich make playing HC or playing seriously VERY HARD
So what did you accomplish?
Sinds I'm a photographer who really needs his iMac, I decided to buy a new budget gaming PC before open BETA starts!
ps.
Do you know if its possible at some point that the mac client gets to a 1:1 quality with the windows client?
Greetz!
You don't have to buy gaming PC. Parallels Desktop or VmWare Fusion works well too. 8GB of ram recommended is for that, but still cheaper than buying new rig.

I installed Linux today and set up WINE to run PoE. The 1.4 engine has sub par performance, but 1.5.19 works pretty well. I still get the same lag spikes when I encounter unique mobs or cast new spells. This is currently the only solution that is allowing me to traverse Dark Forest and some other areas of the game. Overall julus' wrapper has better performance on my machine, but I'm still hoping to work out some improvements.
Just thought I'd share incase anyone else was thinking of giving this a try.
Excellent, a Linux user. I have few questions for you.
1) Are the fonts distorted on linux too?
2) Loading times - does them feel to same or the osx are longer?

The fonts are identical, loading times are faster than OSX.
edit: I take that back, the fonts are slightly better, they still have the same sort of distortion.

Yes....very much so on my 17" MacBook Pro...running 10.8.2. The window sometimes disappears on me, but otherwise good to go.

If you have Macbook with Intel GMA (all macbooks made till the end of 2008( you will not be able to play.
