Also found these. Also this is for 3.5. I'm not really having any issues with 3.1 except the long loading and loading between zoning between zones.

Ugh. the 10.6.8... and the AMD GPU combination. Sorry but cant help, the 10.6.8 have really bad graphic drivers for AMD, also some new things from wine are not supported, that is why the new wrapper crashes for you.

Welp. After reading the reviews of mountain lion :/ not sure if it really is worth the $20 to upgrade just for 1 game lol

Well, that is up to you. If the previous wrapper works fine for you, use it, sometimes you may check some of the new wrappers, but as I said, the 10.6.8 contains a really bad drivers for AMD cards, (for example, the grimrock does not run at all on this config),

BUT, you may use gfxCardStatus (www.gf.io) to manually switch between AMD and INTEL gpu, on Intel, you might get better results in some situations.

I have exactly same macbook as you except I upgraded to 16GB of RAM (damn, until a week ago I had Samsung as external monitor too :D ) so I know what I am talking about :)
Sorry guys but I dont know where else to ask this.
Im using the 3.1, so far (fingers crossed) works great.

Ok, how do you link items on chat with the mac port ? i cant still figure this out. They told me crt alt and click item but doesnt work.

It should be ctrl+cmd+click or alt+cmd+click (the buttons are shifted on mac)
It is ctrl cmd click, that's what I need to use in game.

You dont have xQuartz installed

That can't be right, because I'm using it in the other wrapper, I downloaded and installed it to get the other wrapper to work. I'm on OS 10.7.5

or corrupted wrapper. The wine is complaining it cannot load system libraries... (also for 10.7.5 and 10.8.2 you need xquartz 2.7.4, older xquartz will crash)

Did a fresh download, and I got the same errors as before.

Testing v3.5beta2.

Downloaded beta2 wrapper and did a fresh install of the game, that is downloaded whole Content.ggpk again.

First start, default settings: result is no mouse, xterm top bar stays above game screen like playing in a window, crash if try to set resolution.

Second attempt: Uncheck Autodetect GPU info (this seems the best for me), using Forced use of system installed XQuartz.

Starts OK, can change resolution, performance is good. 15 minutes playing with new character. Game freezes in Mud Flats.

Finally had a time to play a little bit with the port, and found out:

- The wrapper crashes every 15-30 minutes with random error, but all means out of memory.
- ctrl+cmd+click is the new ctrl+alt+click (cmd=alt)
- found a way to fix launcher appearance (accidentally)
- AMD still has screwed drivers, but less screwed than in 10.6.8, let's hope they will fix them in 10.8.3
- stuttering when encountering rare/unique monsters cannot be fixed by me, CCC needs to split Content.ggpk into normal small files, osx hates big files (or apple has to rewrite part of kernel which is not likely to happen)
- splitting the Content.ggpk will most likely fix font corruption as well (but this can be fixed in further wine versions)

So we have 2 wrappers,
3.1 which will cause graphic corruption overtime and missing graphic effects/monsters
3.5 which will crash every 15-30 minutes regardless what are you doing, but graphic is ok

I still haven't tried all things in 3.5, so hopefully I find settings to get rid of the 30 minute crash

If there is someone who does not experience a 30 minute crash with 3.5, state your OSX version and GPU type.

Which wrapper version are you using? and also post some info about your system (osx version and gpu type)

OS: OS X 10.8.2
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB
Wrapper: Wineskin-2.5.8

Again, I am a noob when it comes to this, and this is my first time using a wrapper! The games seems to download fine and opens, it is just the resolution is very bad and I cannot expand the window.

Thanks again for your help!

Edit: I am now also getting this message when trying to install the game again.

No new executables found!

Maybe the installer failed...?

If you tried to install somewhere other than C: drive (drive_c in the wrapper) then you will get this message too. All software must be installed in C: drive.

Eh? why are you running install? The wrapper has launcher preinstalled, and never should give this message, unless you are using self-made wrapper.

So I might have been doing something wrong so I just deleted everything and did a clean install with your file. Everything seems to be working great! Thanks again for all of your help.

One last question, is it just me, or should I have sound in-game with this? I have sound at the login screen, but when I go in-game I do not.

Check your options, there should be sound, the music may drop out at random, but there should be no problem with sound (and no such problem has been reported).
Hey julus, I'm having a quality experience in general with 3.5, aside from the out of memory crash, which is what I think this is:
Spoiler
fixme:d3d:resource_check_usage Unhandled usage flags 0x8.
wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x6e9ece (thread 0009), starting debugger...
err:seh:raise_exception Unhandled exception code c0000005 flags 0 addr 0x7b82cf29

I can randomly get into Dark Forest, maybe once out of every 20 tries.
