[OSX] Unofficial Path of Exile port - 30/12/2018 status update

Umm something started a happening to me last night after i was playing for 4-5 hours. anytime a msg would be posted from a friend of trade chat ect.. my FPS would drop to 1 then baxck to 30-40

I downloaded the game and it installed flawlesly.

Now, when all the downloading is done (around 5gb of files), game loader starts and after "Checking Resources" fails to load. The process is alive but doing nothing.

The wrapper version shows: "--" and I can't set it properly to version 4.1. Could You give me "instructions for dummies" (and perhaps add it to the FAQ as well)

I think you got a wrapper made by someone else. So get rid of it like this:

1) Go inside your wrapper to Path of Exile folder: Right-click Path of Exile.app/Show Package Contents/drive_c/Program FIles/Grinding Gear Games/Path of Exile/

2) From there copy Content.ggpk file (around 5GB) to another location (Applications folder, Desktop for example).

3) Delete the wrapper aka Path of Exile.app

4) Download a wrapper posted by julus on the first page of this topic.

5) Before you launch the game, copy that Content.ggpk to the corresponding location inside the wrapper from where you got it.

and so i downloaded your latest wrapper and installed when the game launched the screen was off set to the bottom right corner and i couldnt see the full screen and couldnt fix it.

Then i downloaded your 3.6 wrapper and screen loads great and sound runs fine but the mouse and keyboard do not work. then i clicked a million times and it randomly clicked exit.

can someone help me out?

now i figured out the mouse in the game is offset to the actual mouse can someone help me out please thanks much appreciated!

Fixed it by going into fullscreen!

So not sure if this has been touched upon yet in this thread but I have verified that on my mac (and I assume others), under 3.6, 3.7, 4.0 and 4.0.1, voidbearers often cause DC or lagspike issues where they do not on a pc.

I highly recommend if you are a summoner not to use spectre skill on voidbearers (which sucks because they're good pets), and instead opt for the archers as your ranged spectres. Unfortunately, as a summoner (a poor build choice to use on a mac port, i know), I'm relegated to only soloing docks and can't really team with anyone who does a lot of skills with a ton of pixel effects (2 hand marauders=good, cold witches=bad).

Act 3 altogether is very choppy under Wine for less powerful computers. Hence I use Bootcamp for Act 3 and do the others under Wine.
