+ some armour and hp

+ block vs projectiles
- 24% block chance

This is a complicated shield, but the bottom line is: it is not really good.
The armour vs projectiles help against attack projectiles, but not vs spell projectiles (as they are elemental damage). The block vs projectiles is not useful vs attack projectiles if you have capped block (75), and only a little bit useful vs spell projectiles (does increase spell block a little). Bottom line: Good for leveling if you didnt cap block chance.

The OP seriously underestimates the value of increased block chance, and consequently fails to appreciate the build development advantages both Perandus and Titucus can provide to a melee build. He cavalierly refers to capping your block chance at 75% as if that was a routine prerequisite, rather than a long-range odyssey stretching from Templar down to Duelist trees. I think his rankings would change considerably if he considered how many passive skill points each shield typically requires to reach 75% block chance.

Contrary to the OP's assessment, I've found Projectile Block Chance to be a crucial survivability factor for endgame melee fighters. The -60% Chaos resist penalty is a major Achilles Heel for all non-CI builds and the most pernicious threats are monsters with Chaos projectile attacks. The +25% Projectile Block Chance that Titucus provides is worth over a dozen passive skill points, enabling you focus on bolstering your primary stats rather than railroading long stretches of +10 Strength nodes. Maximizing endgame block chance is a complex balancing act that requires more than a superficial approach to shield ranking.

Why ask Why and start by denying before you have actually tried?

Springleaf is what carries badly geared low-life builds. Without it, they would never be able to sustain RF.

I didnt know that :-).
But for me, low-life build itself are niche. And if you do low-life, it is pretty straight forward which gear u get (those with "on low life" in it's description? ;-) )

In my opinion they are not niche. Low life builds are a very wide spread concept in build making. IMO

The other sentence well, you want to do a shield guide. Then do that and incorporate all shields please or your guide covers only the half of actual used shields and that would be a shame and counterintuitive to a "guide".
What can never be lent or earned?
Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything:
A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones.
Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. It defeat mighty kings and carry mountains on lightly wings.
What am i?
I'm using Facebreaker build with Infernal blow and my current shields are Daresso's Courage as main shield and Saffell's Frame for mage bosses(85% all res with purity and Saffel's are really nice).

Utimately I'm planning to change Daresso's Courage for Aegis Aurora (when i'll manage to buy it).

Also with Aegis Aurora you don't really need a lot of ES. Around 500es (with shield, discipline and few armor/es nodes from templar) are enough for it to start being effective when you have high enough armor (got around 11.1k atm) and good block chance to give extra survivability.

I have at one point used these two items to get all the way to map levels. but I figured, I already have enough DPS for my facebreaker build, so I went deep into my

I figured, I already have enough DPS for my facebreaker build, so I went deep into my stashes to find any shield that would be useful to me that can help me last much much longer in maps. I was lucky enough to find a great shield (not perfect, but I would imagine the ones that have a better stats than this shield would be really expensive) to help me get through a good portion of the map levels.

Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

Saffell's Frame sounds like a good idea on a strong Evasion build (Eva + Enfeeble + Blind), as these builds already have very strong protection against attacks. It's also incredibly strong on a build that invests a lot into Immortal Call. For the 'tons of armour' builds though, it's really hard to do better than Aegis Aurora.
Also, as a side note, if you are using a BoR with FB, you should aim to use a shield like Lioneye's Remorse, or a similarly rolled rare shield with 2k+ armour or evasion with life and resists.
Either that or an Aegis.
Aegis doesn't really need that much ES at all. At least when it comes to farming. Packs refill ES so fast for me and I only have a total of 600ish ES. My life rarely gets hit before it refills. However, against one mob(boss) it isn't as good depending on how fast the mob hits.

My fav unique in the game, i made a build around it and i can just go AFK in high level maps.

GREAT shield for any caster (low life and or righteous fire)

Great CI caster shield, good ES + spell damage

Both some of the best leveling shields, the titucus span almost maxes your block against projectiles on its own

Super high armour and high life + set reduced damage taken
