Chris, what about the map drop rate "buff"?

  • The Map boss version of Merveil now casts multiple Ice Spears.

I ran a Graveyard earlier today and she was using multishot ice spear (cant recall if it was lmp or gmp, but it certainly wasnt just one projectile). Iirc shes always done this, so whats being changed?

  • Monsters now have to be 50% closer before they can cast Cold Snap.

I still think this skills going to need a complete makeover eventually. The above is a nice improvement for ranged characters, but doesnt do much for melee, and monsters still bypass the cooldown which can make for endless unavoidable chain freeze once a large pack of elementals starts casting. The cooldown has also made coldsnap next to worthless as a player skill.

It'll probably be in 0.9.12b or 0.9.12c a few days later. We're all testing minion stuff so there's no time to test the Map stuff as much as we'd need to.

take your time if it's 1 week or 10 days later we can wait.

But please make it so that we see more maps with out grinding for one for hours.

Also good job with the patch i love it...except the life regn nerf but i love the rest.

Sockets now only appear on items if you press alt - they don't show permanently if you have Z (or equivalent) toggled.

Is there a reason for this change? Or maybe I am misunderstanding it. But I take this as you can no longer see sockets when you hover over items on the ground unless you press alt.

EDIT: Ok sorry i can see this has been answered. Not so sure about this to be honest.

This function is very useful when looking for certain sockets and links quickly, I turned off the key pickup exactly because of this reason that I didnt want to press alt all the time to quickly check sockets and links.

Ok the Sockets thing need to be optional.

I don't even understand the reason for such a thing except break our Alt key.

Are you even nerfing out UI?

I like alt showing the sockets in inventory items but you should also have it so when you mouse over they show.
Well there goes my minion instability/exploding bone wall tank build. 2 skeletons at a time is not going to hack it at higher levels when currently even with every single +life passive (Actually every single minion passive) skeletons get 2-3 hit by mobs. +50% extra life is really only going to add one more hit.
My build relied on summoning a couple of spark totems to deal damage/shock and then just sitting back and summoning things to keep the monsters occupied so they did not eat me alive.
2 skeletons per cast is such a huge hit, I hope the mana cost and cast speed is adjusted to compensate.
I guess I will wait and see how these changes turn out when I have to rebuild my skill tree. But I have a feeling my build has been nerfed out of usefulness :(

He says the change doesn't affect items on the ground.
When will the patch go live?!
