Thanks for the advice, I'll give it another go. Hit 74 while messing around. I've been testing in library, easy packs, small, vaal areas. Haven't bothered with maps yet. Looked at some 5 links, but unfortunately anything which won't drop me several hundred es is more exalteds than I'll probably ever find. That's why I took the mantle, very high es for a chaos or three. I do have all the minion clusters. I'll locate a faster attacks for the evangelists, I'm sure I've got one floating around somewhere.



I'd been saving all the +minion helms I came across, this will do for now I think.

In general, I seem to have little or no trouble with anything, so perhaps I need to respec a few points to boost my es temporarily for the dom fight.

Multistrike is for melee attacks.
Evangelist cast spells that deal physical damage.
Just like Ethereal knives.

I use raise zombie + area of effect + life leech + added fire damage/minion damage (don't go crazy with chromatics to get BBRR though if you can't afford it).

Got him that time! Almost didn't even have time to cast his rain. Managed to cull him with ir/iq too, three uniques, which is pretty sweet.

Grats! I've taken Dominus a few times, and I don't think he ever dropped a unique for me.

What were the changes you made that contributed to the kill?

It is bad that evangelis have been nerfed since last patch.

such a shame. they were by far the best spectres to get...i havent tested them since nerf but it sounds like it was a heavy nerf

The +2 minion helm for zombies seems to have made the biggest impact. Increased duration on flesh offering was nice but probably not necessary. Changed up the specter support gems as well, from increased aoe to concentrated effect (pack clearing is slower but for dom not a big deal) for more damage, and faster attacks over life leech, since evangelists seem plenty survivable on their own. Also, in my +2 helm I used minion damage which benefits from the level bonus over another damage gem.

What do you use now? I'm thinking the arc casters are probably the best now..
