But I'm confused..... I thought Mark said one of the trap uniques gave an ability only monsters could do...... most people thought general gravicious throwing instant detonating fire traps.
This thing WOULD have done that if the trap duration was reduced by 100%.
Did this get nerfed at the last second?
He doesn't do that. He doesn't use traps at all. He casts the spell that fire traps use, with no trap involved. I said it let people do something only monsters could do with traps. In this case, converting them to "bombs" with a short duration that blow up even if not triggered, like the various alchemist monsters.
Depending on how some stats interact, I think the Belt could be incredible for a build I've had half in mind a while.
Lightning Warp has 3% reduced duration per level, does this stack additively or multiplicatively with the Belt? I had a LW totems character that had the reduced duration on LW apply to the totem's duration as well, so I'm assuming it impacts trap duration too although I'm not sure how so.
I hope it's additive myself, lets go Ion Cannon build!

There are actually two drawbacks. The obvious one is the negative lightning resist, which can be geared around/specced around.
The less obvious one is the extra chance of shock stacks (which is hugely significant). The easiest way to deal with this is of course Fairgraves Tricorne, but you are giving up a fairly decently-sized stat spot for an otherwise near-useless helm. You can also get anti-shock flasks, but that requires quick reaction times.
Evasion or hybrid eva-armor characters actually have an easier time dealing with this than armor specs (despite the fact armor benefits the most from phys damage conversion). This is because of 3 factors: getting hit less, getting crit less when you do get hit (look up evasion mechanics if you don't believe me), and access to the status ailment reduction nodes on the right side of the tree.
Ahaaa, the mystery 'lightning chest' :) nice.
It was said that there could be a synergy with my son's unique, once it is in.
it has amazing potential many hardcore players will love it use fairgraves and your chest build around it with 8 remaining slots and you are close to godmode
laughed hard when i read chest is useless bla
it even has life and ppl saying -60 lightning is a downside in endgame shouldnt post at all its really easy to get rid of the downside only downside of this chest is fairgraves is mandatory thats all
every bor facebreaker has only 8 slots and can have capped resi and you guys think -60 lightning is a hard downside on a 10 slot char ?

What can never be lent or earned?
Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything:
A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones.
Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. It defeat mighty kings and carry mountains on lightly wings.
What am i?
Should be the first one, armour reduction to begin with, then modifiers to damage taken (e.g. Vulnerability, Arctic Armour, Shock stacks, and the new chest).
don´t really get why people say fairgraves is a must when you try to cap your lightning resi nontheless.
