Some info about my unique:
-Chestpiece
-Defensively oriented (there is a small offensive bonus which GGG designers thought would be a good fit flavor-wise, but it is not the main focus)
-Base has no prior uniques
-Endgame oriented
-Several ways to build around it; not extremely hard to build around, but throwing it on randomly would have......not very pleasant results :)
Can't wait to see the first person to find it!

Sounds like a defensive version of Death's Oath.

Death's Oath is rather unpleasant if you aren't built for it somewhat. Taking 450 chaos damage per second for 10 seconds each time you kill something isn't an item you just throw on.

Death's Oath is hardly the only unique with a drawback......heck, the vast majority of endgame oriented uniques have drawbacks.
