More physical mitigation and it makes capping resists in ele weakness ALOT easier it also put my chance to hit a bit higher which I wanted. The only downside was that I knew id losing damage so I had to compensate by upgrading my rings which I did. I am also going make a dodge scion character so I wanted to make a really good evasion helm with maybe a really really good Assassins Garb if I can't find a good one for sale.

Good luck with the build! I've thought along similar lines, but Bear Traps and Ethereal Knives can complete shut an Acobatics char down, so I'm no longer very keen on trying it.

Interesting patch notes!

I was extremely concerned with this:

Balance Changes - Auras:
The mana cost for all auras except Clarity has been changed to 60% reservation.

Many others were concerned as well... this is what Chris had to say. "I'll repeat for clarity - Blood Magic is stronger than it has ever been now that the auras are so powerful and you can mitigate their costs so much." There are apparently keystones after BM that allow for reserved mana reduction. So, hopefully we can still run our 3 little auras and have increased damage... especially since WED was nerfed.


Also, any idea what is going on with existing uniques such as kaoms? I don't require fire damage and I quite enjoy my 1000 hp... seems decently fair with no sockets or other mods :/

Balance Changes - Unique Items:
The following Unique items have been directly buffed. Using a Divine Orb on an existing version will roll new mods in the new ranges.

Kaom's Heart: Increased Life has been reduced to 500. Increased Fire Damage has been added. A Divine Orb used on an existing version would only update the life.

Well the open beta versions of kaoms are going to skyrocket in price. :(
I cant imagine the reduced mana aura passive costs are going to be enough to still run this build on BM, but we'll see. Seems like they are only wanting to be able to use 1 aura at a time and make it very difficult to use more.

Now that all damage auras are on level playing field for cost, I'm thinking hatred may be the one to use. Nothing like freezing and shocking the piss out of mobs. I'm going to be optimistic and say that running grace and a damage aura will be possible. Which this build will live on just fine with. Thoughts on hatred over others?

Obviously with the lionseye and not talking about voltaxic

Hatred doesn't give as much with voltaxic because of low phys dmg I usually leave that upto my group I will never choose hatred as a aura to use.

Kripp just went over the new skill tree briefly... very interesting. Ranger area has an awesome cluster for reduced mana reserve and aura buffs. I didn't see the blood magic area unfortunately, but we'll see. Berserking has two 3% attack speed nodes before it and it's in a shitty place for us. Definitely a lot of changes and it will take a lot of adjusting, but just be glad you aren't low-life dual spork or something :P


Overall I think this will be good. BM players might have a bit of a boost and a lot of the other builds are taking much bigger hits to their build, gear, and gems. Hopefully you guys got your thunderfists and kaoms in time ;)

Seems my theory became a reality. Auras are now a thing of our past.
