[1.2.0] Dual Claws Are Cool

Okay. First off, if you aren't id-ing every blue/rare that could be a potential upgrade, you'll lose out on seeing HP spawn on them. Sure blues are better vendored for transmutes or just ignored, but as long as you need the HP on gear, id it and hope. That or you could trans/alt a white item with the required sockets and stop when it reaches a HP roll. Second, keep a set of ele resist rings, it's a free 60~ resist to any element and that's more than enough to clear normal/cruel.

And for the weapons, you can try poe.xyz.is.

OK, so lets say that I wanted to do something like this, but with a Ranger instead...would dual claws still be viable? And if so, what build should I use?
Yes and see build section.

My Nemesis adventure with dual claws ended today.

Got bear trapped by the unique boss in Sarn in front of a firing squad of LA archers. I totally whelped myself as I cycloned right into it while testing my newly bought white cyclone.

Didn't even realise he bear traps before.
That one guy who looks like the Licker's from Resident Evil? >.> That guy is tough! <3 At least you had fun though right?

Hmmmm. I'm considering re-rolling this again! My subsequent characters just haven't been as fun! But I kind of want to play with dual wielding daggers and crits too. hmmmm...
Yeh, the build is incredibly fun.

The boss isn't even tough, I didn't have trouble tanking him as long as I could move, and he was down to 50% health after 2 dual strikes but as soon as I got trapped I died due to the fact I couldn't hit anything.
You are aware that movement skills, such as Leap Slam and Whirling Blades, continue to work while you are bear-trapped? At least, that's my understanding of it. (I prefer to hit flicker and keep right on with the fight.)

Wish I knew Whirling Blades worked.

I tried to use my cyclone (as I said, I was just testing my new cyclone animation) but apparently it's the only movement skill that does not work when bear trapped.

Managed to press it 2 times and died to his EK and the LA skeles. :D
I don't leave home without whirling blades. Terrific oh shit button.

Question for OP, am I right assuming life on target hit is not part of the 20% of your maximum hp per second cap on life leech?
Analyze, Adapt, and Ask the devs to change it.

I can answer that for you - cycloning with LoH claws through a pack of mobs can make your HP go from 30% to 100% in a second even without Vaal pact as long as the pack is large enough. ;)
