Hi Kirielis. First of all, thank you for this short but nice guide.
Your Shadow build is at rang 1 for the moment for me to try out :).
I have a small request four you: Could you kindly explain the acronyms that you used?
For example: EB, CI, IR and so on.

This is my first character in PoE and may be I should have chosen some easier one. But I like to stick it with it for now. My passive skills are a little alike like yours.click. (I haven't spent the last 10 points or so)


Some offtopic.
I have looked around today for some other builds and I think that it is save to say that a shadow run claws, daggers and trap. Rarely that I see DW builds like this and I have never seen a sword build for example, how is that?

Thank you a lot. What is VP? Why are there no Swords builds on the Internet for a shadow?

VP is Vaal Pact from the passive tree (google it)


What do you mean sword build? Builds are linked to the passive available in the tree for the class chosen.

Example shadow has very good dual wield nodes and claw nodes thus this build

You could take this build and use 1h swords but it will be killing all thw life leech part which is the reason it is a good build

Yes I understand that, but you can spend the points in one handed swords as well, and I have never seen a DW Sword or a equal DW dagger build.

If it's your first time playing this game you might not understand why you need life leech. Play a bit (20-30 levels) and you will understand

Yes I fully understand the 12% argument. But does this mean that swords become irrelevant if daggers and claws are a lot better?

We are still talking about DW for Shadow right?

If so not exactly. Check the sword and dagger groups of nodes in the tree. It's different. It offers more damage but not as much survivability.

Ok. I am about to spend my points by following this build.
