Petrov's Elemental Bow Ranger Build(s) (0.10)
that one ditches some elemental damage and proyectile damage to get increased lightning + all resist nodes, is a taankier version right? well it looks nice but i'm more of kill or die xD

Would this build still be valid for open beta?

I'd like to know the same >.<

Is this build still able to stand toe-to-toe with mobs at higher levels? Or does kiting become necessary?

To those who are newbies like me... here's my experience with the build up to level 30 into start of A3 norm.
Stack as much +damage on gear as possible, especially elemental. I'm 300 dps auto (260 LA) with decent +ele dmg items. I get my butt kicked to corpse explosion, suiciders, elemental ranged units (especially the 3x shots), and some rares/bosses. Some of the A2 bosses gave me trouble while soloing (ran out of flasks, altho I have a Quicksilver flask). I highly recommend grouping from the start of A2 in normal and on. " 300 DPS in normal difficulty? IMO, from now on you should focus on defense. You shouldn't be getting your butt kicked in normal difficulty. If you are, it's probably because you have so much offensive stats. They're not at max efficiency if you can't take a few hits though. Your theoretical DPS, over time, is actually higher if you can stand toe-to-toe with enemies (rather than having to kite to infinite and beyond). I have 300 DPS and I've just arrived in A2 Cruel... never got my butt kicked in normal though, and I'm not getting my butt kicked now either (touch wood). And because I can take hits, I don't need to run away all the time, which means I kill monsters faster and progress faster. I also have 75% cold resist (I basically facetanked the A1 boss because she was barely scratching me) and 25%-40% in the other resists... and all that despite using an item which gives me -20% to all resists (but I get a huge return on item rarity). But I also have an item that gives a +35% to all resists! Then of course I've got all the other usual resists on the rest of my gear. Start focusing on more defense now... you'll appreciate it when you get to Cruel! Last edited by MGReaper#2164 on Jan 30, 2013, 7:21:28 AM

Does anyone know of a updated build?
With what main passives and stats Gems Skills? Regards, |

Hey I have a question, I got that LA should be kept at 5 but what about Ele Hit, Wrath/Grace and your other abilities? What is a good or ideal level for them or should we max them? It doesnt seem to even help the DPS just increase mana costs..
Thanks! |

lvl 43 ranger in act 2 cruel and till now the build is holding up pretty well. Some questions:around when should I get blood magic? My LA with faster projectiles, weapon elemental damage and LMP is already costing a ton of mana, and I will have to spend a lot of points to go towards BM.
Edit: my current build is http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgIAAdEILg6tFHUVIBmOGbQppSpNLOkyfjWGNZI6sz8nSn1OyFb6Y6dnoGqTbPZuqnPhdEGC5IPbh3aQEZuNnaqiQKZXrpOv67nNwA_B2MSiytPTft0N3UbqYu2D7g70-Pqx_Ev8TvzF. Last edited by ydalmia#2507 on Jan 30, 2013, 3:39:56 PM

"Personally I got BM once I hit 800HP. I picked 800 because I wanted to use the evasion gem I had found, but wanted to keep over 700hp with the reserve met. I have a life on hit gem that I used with LA (WTB Life Leech lol), it worked great. Plowed my way through act 1 and 2 (I did MP for the bandits and vaal) but soloing was quite easy. |
