Petrov's Elemental Bow Ranger Build(s) (0.10)

If memory serves me right, it was something like this.

Take note, though, I'm not 100% sure, since my passives were reset and I haven't touched my Ranger in a long while. Also:

Petrov's build used the Blood Magic NODE, I think, which is significantly less popular these days. I included it in anyway since it's easier to use at lower levels. I also can't remember if he went for Arcing Blows, but I think he did.

Thanks so much! What would be an alternative to blood magic? Like what kind of node/gear/anything would you use instead of that? Sorry I'm noob

Hi oneHundred. I just revised the build slightly to this, since I'd forgotten that he went for the shock nodes near the Witch tree too. Revised in my original post as well.

Anyway, alternatives to BM node:

1. BM gem. Self-explanatory, but you spend an extra link to achieve it for your LA and single-target. Archer builds (IMO) are a little more link-reliant, which means that that extra link could be very valuable. It's still good enough until at least Lunaris or maps, where you might find yourself lacking in damage.

2. Swing up to get the innate mana leech node, towards the top right in the Shadow area. Coupled with mana leech on gear, and/or the Warlord's Mark curse, and high enough damage, you should be able to leech back enough mana per hit.

3. The last alternative is to simply have high enough mana regen, but I'm not sure how much mana regen you'll need to make this viable. Probably too high to bother, but it's an option still.

IMO, option 1 is good until you can do option 2. Option 3 is a little too unrealistic.

By the way, common mana leech gear:

These are fairly cheap (maybe 2 alchs or a chaos each). Any rare ring/amulet with mana leech and good stats work too.

Even better, this is perfect! Thanks so much

Can someone post their variant of the
"MOST POPULAR: The "tankier + shock stacking + inner force" build"?

This is the build that Petrov posted, and what my ranger used:

If your level isnt that high just remove some small HP nodes.

why do i see players build into static blows ? it takes so many passives to even get there, and i dont see the point of it, rather get myself a pair of thunderfist murder mitts which give 100% instead of 10 ;)

Also, i dont see any Armour / evasion specced into this build how is that smart, you wont be able to survive shit from a big mob :(

100% increased duration is not 100% shock chance. :-)
MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS!

It gives 10% Chance to Shock with lightning damage, ie you don't need to crit to apply shock.
Any suggestions for the bandit quest in cruel and merciless difficulty?
I may update this for release, may take a bit of time as I've been out a while.

Petrov.
