[1.2.0] Ice Pierce Crit Ranger

I have a question. I am following the guide, and i am lvl 70 now. I do 3,5 k with IS and 5,6 with burning Arrow. Only Anger aura active. This is my gear, and i want to know which item i must to change for obtain more dps.

I think that best change is 6L but i have not sufficient currencys, perhaps more aura is viable? i dont know if i can support more aura mana cost. Ty for all the help.

I have replaced colour and links in gloves, and this is the change Now 3,9k IS and 6,8 BA, leveling wrath.

As long as you're using mana, Hatred is the single biggest damage boost you can ever hope to find, besides a direct weapon upgrade.

And yeah, upgrade your weapon. Either pick up a Glare, or get a better dps bow. Preferably with local crit. Local crit on a bow is, by my reckoning at least, a bigger upgrade than getting a 6L.

And as long as we're here, if anyone's on Standard, I picked up a crit bow you might like. There are a ton of good quivers to go with it in my forum shop, too. (Link in signature.)

Ty so much for the help. I am using Hatred too, and boost it's very nice. At the moment, i am trying to get currency for a better bow, preferably Glare. I think that cost some exalted in anarchy correct?

btw for our rangers is better lioneye's glare or voltaxic rift?

And another question, i am using full evasion gear, is better use some armor gear too? Ty.

Planning on using this build in the 1 week race, since it's pretty easy gearing wise. Will let you know how it goes!

I have changed my bow yet. 262 dps at 10 chaos cost. Next step is going for a better dps bow with local critical or i'll try to get a Glare, and i am trying to get more hp in gear too, actually near 2,3 k. How much is a reasonable hp pool for a ranger?

I want to get a nice armor too but 5 or 6linked armours with nice stats are so expensive. I'll get a better ilevel boots and gloves too at few chaos, and probably gear it's completed at the moment.

This is my gear now, doing 5,6k dps with ice shot and 9,4k dps with Burning arrow, running wrath, anger and hatred as auras.

Currently lvl 59 in the 1 week race, 5th Ranger overall :D Wanted to see how little gear/currency dependent this build really was.



Kind of stuck with the Black Gleam until I get a nice quiver.

So i'm in a bind. I got a good rare bow with local crit.



but then i chanced a lioneyes randomly.



Now, i've played with both and my dps is higher with the lioneye's by about 400. But i totally eat shit on reflects which i could mostly ignore. The difference in crit is astonishing too, 9%. I *feel* like the rare is the better bow, but im not sure which i should sink my currency into 5 linking.


And you know i could sell the lioneyes for a couple ex to fun that =\


Any ideas?

I don't know what I'm missing, but I feel like something is off.
With this, you would have just enough critical, some added crit multiplier, more life and evasion, and more physical damage for bows.
There is the added defense of All Resist, more attack speed, and more frenzy charges.

I don't get Bloodthirst(for +60% crit) because Assassination works better, giving you +80% crit and 20% crit mult, and the route is just not viable.
You can get the life nodes and strength elsewhere.

The downside is that the build is 100 points.
You could probably save 6+ points by not routing into Heavy Draw, but I like the added damage when you can't rely on elemental damage from reflect mobs.
