Yeas, Reduced Mana is so much better the Mana Leach, only if you could support it though. I trying run Reduced Mana with Lightning strike, it was awesome, I never been running out of Mana, and could spam LS continuisly, pair it with decent mana regeneration, and you never going to need Mana Flasks at all. I've only tested it so lvl 50-60 or somethin', but I think, later on it should only get better. The main issue with this build (aside from damn expensive and lucky gear) are the mana problems. So if we say, somethin like, who the F**k needs more DPS, if you just can spam LS continuosly, with maybe 1.5-2k DPS; but this with an attack speed of 4 or so attacks per second, and Increased Crit Chances, then you could easely count, how often you will be crit-hitting somethin, doing a shitload of damage overall and never run out of mana.

This mana issues motivated me to build something different. I have now a Duelist. He is going to be utilising Frenzy later on (tried it now in normal, but there is Dual Strike strictly better) and Flicker Strike, loaded with Frenzy Charges. The main motivation is "who needs AOE, I am an AOE!" There is also will be a mana problem, and I am not going to use Blood Magic. I will be using Reduced Mana for both Frenzy and Flicker Strike. But this is a more long term project, than getting better gear for my Shadow :)

(Also, I am planning a third build, utilizing the Facebreakers and Flicker Strike, with Whriling Blades as the Skill for Everything, and this will bo something pure for the LOls, because "Flicker to you, and punch you in the face!", could be suprisingly viable, but I dont think so ^^)

Hey there Invalesco! (& all his awesome m8s who help out in this thread) just wanted to say how much I enjoy playin your build (though technically the fun haven't started yet considering I still didn't re-spec to CI :P).

Anyways, I wanted some help with farming for ES gear to respec. I'm currently level 61 & in merciless act 2. I have done some runs in the fellshrine (not much since I only started going there around lvl 60) but none the less haven't found a single drop of ES (Shield nor Chest, let alone 6L/5L :< ). Also, finding it hard to get hybrids with good ES values. I currently almost have 1k ES with Discipline on. Mana & auras wise I think I'm set pretty good (can sustain Hatred, Wrath & Discipline while spamming LS/DS indefinitely if I'm around mobs).

So, my question is; Should I say, level to 70 asap & then hit the fabled maps everyone talks about or keep trying the fellshrine for a lucky drop? =-=

PS; here's my gear & skilltree as well. Any tips on them are much appreciated. (the skilltree might be abit off since I only found about this build around lvl 30)





EDIT: Oh, almost forgot. I really liked your other guide about crafting & the vid you demonstrated the mirror in. Was pretty funny & enlightning. lol

use mana leech/less supp gems/mana potion/clarity/+intel/+mana/+mana regen/something else...U have a LOT of things to do in this game.

Actually, most of Inval's builds seem to suffer from early-game mana problems. I make it a point for myself to get +Mana items after securing a good base of Life with Shadow, and use 3-4 mana flasks. I also like to have a level 3-5 Clarity on me, for when I need to kill a boss with no minions. That solves many of the problems until I get a mana leech support gem (which is not as easy as guides make it out to be, I never find more than one in a character's lifetime, and then I die with that one).

I've seen your righteous fire build, awesome video mate. Also seen ur video about the CI Shadow (this one that is) and now I have a question.

Ur ES regen is insane in the righteous fire build, why not implement that in this build? Any thoughts?

This looks like a remarkably fun build and is exactly what I've been trying to do with other classes. Great job! I love it's balance. So good to have a smart build that doesn't depend on unique items, rare stats, or the like.
