what skill gems and support gems should I be getting at early lv?

Hi everyone,

I play Shadow CI lvl 74 and i can't do maps without dying, always chilled, exterior map it's more easier.

My stuff isn't bat :




With that i reach 4k6 ES, 64% Fire and 75% Cold and Light, 26% Evasion.
About my dps, with frenzy DS is at 8k8 and LS 3K5 (i played with 4 auras : Grace, Discipline, Wrath and Hatred.)


But ! I have so many trouble, if someone can help me or somathing like that ! Need help :(

was wondering why you went for +5%phy dmg belt, isnt +35str belt better since if 5str equals +1% phy dmg and same time gives you higher str to lvl LS higher (as if you fine with the mana cost)

I died on my first character, level 48. RIP.

Going at it again :) It's going alot smoother with some of my old gear so less stress to level fast. Hope to get to my same level again so I can continue my struggle lol.

I think the only way to get through level 40-60 is to party with people.

Docks / The Ledge is all you need.

is it just me or does it get a bit problematic with cruel with this specc? i run it often since i like the build a lot, and in cruel it doesnt feel so much safe just stacking ev and es since if u get hit they hit really hard.

imo i think u should not go for ev and es in cruel since you should still stack armor/ev and hp so u can survive, and from what i noticed is that in cruel its kinda hard to find "decent" es chest and es gear for the level im running cruel, im usually in cruel right about lvl 30-32 depending how much i have to look for the quest and etc.

so what i do i always keep 1 point away from evasion/es noods so that when i want to chance my spec to full CI specc i just take the life noods and change it up and then start hunting in trade or here in the forum for ev/es gear.

i might be wrong so please if you find any points of what i can improve it would be helpfull

and im usually do brutus in like lvl 35-38 and grind ledge untill im like lvl 40 then go to act2 and grind there for a bit to try to get to level 45 so i can start looking for better gear.

So a little update from my last post. I bought all the gear I need to make the transition into this build. Can anybody say what I should replace first out of all this? I think i did a pretty decent job. I still havnt jewelered/fused them or anything.

you have a nice mix of gear, and that shield is very nice

the first thing you should to is try to buy a 5L chest with good ES / resist, or spend a lot of fusings to try and roll one yourself if you can afford it

I've been using this build since I started with OB and I'm finally making good headway. I am level 69, been farming fellshrine and docks for days trying to find upgrades.

I am sitting on 2.9k ES buffed, biding my time until I can finally go full CI. I know i can upgrade my chestpiece by at least 200 base ES, but I don't know where to find an ES chest with 4L/5L and 400+ es. Everything I've found is going for prices which would effectively clean out my savings. I don't know if it's worth doing that, considering that I think I want to spend my largest amount on a godly dagger.

So, here's my question: If I want a high ES 5L chest, is it generally worth buying a rare item with good rolls and no sockets so that you can use Jewelers and chroms and fusings on it to get that 4L or 5L, OR is it better to buy a 4L/5L white ES chest and then use alchs and chaoses until you get a high roll?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey guys I'm currently running this build but I'm having mana issues with my Lightning Strike. Currently I'm running LS with Weapon Elemental Damage and Fork. But Invalesco suggests running LS with LMP and Pierce. While I do have both of those I find that the damage I deal is far greater with WED and Fork. While LMP and Pierce do a good job at clearing waves, Fork does exceptionally well with clustered mobs perhaps even better than with LMP+Pierce. LMP reduces the damage and has a higher mana multiplier and Fork doesn't reduce the initial projectile damage and will always hit the mobs behind/beside each other in a cluster fuck while you have to chance it with pierce with LMP+Pierce. Should I just get more mana/mana regen items and leave it with Fork and that's fine as is? Should I take off Weapon Elemental support gem? It's manageable either with Fork+WED or LMP+Pierce but I can't run WED with LMP or I run into serious mana issues.

I have wrath and clarity up
Clarity is lvl 3 so mana reserved is 100 mana.
Wrath is 10 so mana reserved is 104 mana.
Lightning Strike is Level 9 so the cost is 11

I can't do LMP+WED because 2.2x mana is too much and WED+Fork just seems to GREATLY out damage LMP+Pierce

tl;dr I have two choices LMP+Pierce or WED+Fork. WED+Fork greatly out damages LMP+Pierce and costs just slightly more. I have to drink blue juice more often but it's more manageable than LMP+WED. Should I stick with my current WED+Fork or go on with LMP+Pierce.
