[1.0.6] CI Crit Dagger Shadow (30k DPS Flicker Ninja) [OB video up!]

Mindlapse where did you farm to get all that gear? I have been at Fellshrine and this is my gear so far at level 63.



I haven't been able to find any other upgrades dropping.

So I'm brand spanking new to PoE and I decided to check the forums out for kicks and I have fallen upon this guide. I read that big red warning at the top but that doesn't stop me from being really interested in trying to play this build. Should I just throw caution to the wind and go for it or actually listen and take an easier route first?

Yes, go for it. If you have played Diablo etc. you will pick it up just fine. You will die a lot at first. If you can duo with a friend then I would certainly do it. Whirling Blades is your best friend when you need to get out of the way and heal.

If you have never played a game like this then maybe make an alt and play both :-)

What do you think of this armor (first one)?

Pretty high ES for being an EV hybrid. Obviously I'll need to orb it up for more sockets/links, but should this be worth orbing up or just use it as a temporary while I work on rolling a widowsilk like the second one instead?






I'll also point out I was a total idiot and spent about 60 jewelers orbs getting 6 sockets and 20 chromatics getting 3 green 2 blue and a red socket on a SPIDERSILK robe instead of a WIDOWSILK robe.

Also, I have a very high evasion shield. Is it worth using it since it's going to give me a ton of evasion or should I still try to find a pure ES shield?



Trivia: I have a bow-shadow and when I weapon swap to this shield with 7 frenzy charges + grace up it adds about 7,000 to my armor value (Iron Reflexes, 650 dexterity).

Is this build still viable? I see lots of good talk on the forums, but on the YouTube video I see "Too bad this build is useless now" being said.

Does the nerf to CI make this build not worth it?

it's still good but you need really high end ES gear to make it worth using over a armor/life build

Ahh I see. Yeah I just watched the more recent video that was post CI nerf, still looks pretty fun. I keep re-rolling new classes at 50 cause it just feels like anything I make begins dying a lot at 50+. Hoping this build will solve that issue with it's mobility and kiting power. Just hope it's good vs. bosses, seems to be my biggest problem.

Too much :) 2215 EV. But that just because of bad luck with drops and rolls, it happens. But you can still stay alive okie.

by end game gears that mentioned in first post , do you mean merciless lv 60+ as end game?
or does lv 50+ consider an end game as well "kinda want to know when i should switch to spell shield "

ah also how is farming with shadow ? . i am tempted to make a ranger and make it my farm character , so i am not sure .it seems this game kinda discourage solo play and force party play "much easier , less time consuming , more exp , more items etc..." so i guess it doesn't matter what class right?

as for my level , i am currently 51 . my gears didn't change alot "just got warlock curse"
so yea please answer , tis kinda unplayable solo atm , and i am not even sure where the problem is "so far my item outweight many item in the market -or at least what so far i have seen- "

right now my gear is pretty decent, but not at the point where I can solo maps with no problems

however I can solo merciless docks VERY fast with 0 problems, and I've been getting more drops from soloing it than with a group (after like 15 solo runs I got like 4 alch 3 fusing 2 chaos 2 scouring 1 regret, chain gem) and I can clear Docks solo a lot faster than in a group (my double strike kills rare mobs in like 2 seconds)

I imagine that it will be the same for maps when I get even better gear, but I think for maps it's still better to group with friends to get more loot drops and to do hard bosses safer etc
