[1.0.6] CI Crit Dagger Shadow (30k DPS Flicker Ninja) [OB video up!]
I'm thinking of running a similar build, but using a 2hander instead of dagger+shield. Would the damage increase be worth the loss of all that ES (not to mention 1h dps nodes)?
Thinking of using a 5L Kaom's Primacy w/ Flicker+Multi+Splash+MeleePhysDmg+MeleeOnFull, or mess around w/ Leapslam... (And should I even bother with Grace, and if I do IR or no IR? Cuz I'd be Flickering/Leaping and harder to hit, have Vaal, and some eva, but if I actually did get hit, it'd HURT, right?) EA IGN: Man_Screams_At_Skeleton

" good stuff, i've always wondered if someone would try to use melee splash and double strike as the main aoe in place of LS Build of the Week 14

" It's still quite powerful considering I dropped the 2 melee supports and that my chance to hit is only 64%. The survivability actually seems better even though I'm face tanking everything. It's because double strike as an aoe does a higher % of physical damage that leeches back life. You still want a single target attack because of physical reflect and lightning thorn packs so what I'd do is drop LS and replace it with DS > multistrike > meleesplash > poweroncrit > meleedmg > critdmg. Edit: Here is a free dagger for anyone who needs it. It's not very good but may be an upgrade for someone considering how hard it is to roll a good dagger. Also free robe if it's an upgrade for you. I wouldn't waste any socket currency on these but upping the quality % would help them a good amount.

Hi,
I'm a new player I'm working on a new skill tree for this build and i would very much like to get your input on it : crit dagger CI ES what i find really good about this is the shield masteries all the way to the left and is it a good idea to grab the Hex master (mana wise) and leveling up the Curse skill gems ? What about grabbing the whisper of doom so that you could apply a critikal curse and maybe lightning penetration? I was wondering if someone could tell me if Zealot's Oath can be good? There is also the Static blows (+45%static shock duration and +10%chance schock by lightning) that could be taken if we get rid of a frenzy let me know what you think and remember i just started the game :) Thx Last edited by masterbob1#0807 on May 8, 2013, 12:36:57 PM

One quick tip. Never use all 120 nodes. No one has even made it to that level. You should achieve the bulk of your build concept by lvl70ish. I like how you added ES nodes. It's something this build as a melee needs. You left out mana. you can't leave that out, especially if you want to level curses. I think Enfeeble would be best for the CI Crit Dagger Shadow in general because the damage reduction is = to 5 endurance charges at lvl 1, it effectively buffs your evasion and reduces status affects by nerfing monster crit chance and damage. With the introduction of multistrike and Power on Crit, warlords marks' extra charges are not needed because the Surgeon flasks will fill very fast from the amount of crits.
If you are dead set on Hex master I made this for you. Forever lasting Enfeeble would be pretty nice. Edit If I were to rebuild the Ci Crit Shadow I would do it like this I dropped a ton of damage nodes for ES nodes. There are still some crit chance nodes to get the ball rolling with the new Power on Crit charges. After that the Throat Seeker cluster may make up for a lot of the lost dps. I would have kept the Adder's touch cluster for the 66% crit mult but now that I think about it, a good dagger is very hard to roll. Any melee weapon is hard to roll but daggers are even harder because you tend to get a lot of caster buffs. With any weapon to chose from, what you would be looking for is adds #-# and % increased physical damage of course and "Increased critical strike chance" on your weapon. This is much better than the global crit chance because it raises the base crit chance of your weapon that all of the increased crit chance% is multiplied by. The armor/es nodes are great because they add more elemental resists while further increasing armor from granite flasks. I'm going to try this build but instead of eating a ton of regrets, I'm going to make currency by starting a new char. How important/necessary is Chayula? Can I get away with not having one until I can afford it?
(And to a lesser extent, is Dream Fragments also important? I'm planning on having 3 Granites, 1 'of Heat', 1 'of Grounding', and 1 'of Iron Skin') EA IGN: Man_Screams_At_Skeleton

" If you are playing on Default you'll do fine without Chayula or a non freeze unique until maps. Maps is where you can't die or you will not make it to the 80s. I'd get a staunching pot over grounding. With shock you can at least run and hide. With bleed the options are often limited to die or die. Berek's Grip Ice Spear

"Since I'll be using Flicker+Multi, I figure I won't get stunned/frozen that much, but I may be wrong. Edit: Woah, I had no idea Dream Fragments was 3x as expensive as Chayula... I figured it was cheaper since it's somewhat (well, not rly, but meh) less important >_< I guess that's completely out of the picture! " I've played around with multi/flicker and yes you can get stunned and frozen. In fact multi/flicker is a suicidal combo in general. When you finally run out of charges you usually always end up in the center of a giant pack of mobs but not the pack you think you are in. After a long flicker run you are usually always desynced and are standing somewhere else server side. Not good and get you killed pretty often. Flicker is best used for surprise attacks or cleaning up a few left over mobs or a burst of attacks on a single target. I've found flicker to be nice with melee splash and culling strike. For freeze get one of these. I picked one up for an exalt.
