I guess one thing I could do thats probably more affordable is just try and roll a RRGBB combination, drop Faster attacks for ele damage, which is about a 300 dps increase according to my calculations.. (instead of a 600 dps increase from dropping increase crit damage for increase ele damage). And GRRBB is quite good for that, having Double Strike, Double Damage and Double crit. I used that for quite some time and it was getting my Double Strikes to around the 12K mark. I don't know anything about your exact chances of any particular mod (do we even have data on this?) but the mod categories you can roll are pretty limited so you have a decent chance of at least rolling something that would improve the value of the shield, though not necessarily the shield's value to this build. The possibilities as I understand them: +Life +Mana +Armor +%Armor & ES & %stun recovery recovery + Melee gem level Thorns Only 1 of 6 is completely worthless, while the others could at least increase resale value, assuming they roll a decent value. No, this spec allows you to do massive single target DPS. I'd be interested to see how many other specs can do 20K DPS continually. However does that mean u can solo maps and rape end game? No. But is this game entirely about soloing? No. I wouldn't say this spec is a strong solo spec, however I would say it is a strong end game spec, but you have to play with others too see that. I much prefer soloing with this build unless I'm with a group I know very well. Otherwise you end up as a 5th wheel in a group of LA rangers or similar types and they will often try really hard to get me killed, whereas if I were solo I would be able to use Warlord's Mark, keep frenzy charges and blood rage up, keep granite flasks filled, and engage monsters with a strategy.
