Ok so it is not an end game recommendation, it is a "easy to get a hold of" recommendation. That's where I was confused. I thought people were saying Sin Trek was BIS... and I was like "it don't even have resists". I like my boots alot more....even though I dont get evasion, I would much rather have Full resists while using 4 uniques (dream/eye/maligaros/magnate).

BTW I dont know how many people have tried The Magnate belt....it increased my DPS ALOT. I have a feeling that new unique thicket helm is going to be inflated price, so I will probably not use one unless I find one.

GGG is helping us out though! Last weeks CI ES buff...and this week the Arctic Armour.... people havent figured it out yet, but I bet it helps CI shadows alot more than other classes.

The reason Sin Trek is amazing for this build is the fact that it's incredibly easy to get RRGG colored sockets on it (which is the perfect set-up for Double Strike/Faster Attacks/ Melee Full/ Melee Phys). This is compounded by the fact that Sin Trek also has a decent amount of Energy Shield built into it, and some decent stats to boot.

It is almost impossible to get RRGG on a piece of gear with innate ES on it (except these boots). If you are willing to either not use the optimal support gem set-up for double strike or use hundreds (or more) chromatics, then Sin Trek is a great choice.

Of course, you can always sacrifice ES on the Helm or Gloves to get the right socket colors and use ES boots - you may get some more All Res, but it will be hard to match the ES total of the build using Sin Trek because of the build in ES on the boots - but it's not that large of a difference and comes down to preference.

So as I mentioned earlier on this forum about crafting this shield, it still has one slot left open for a prefix and I wonder if anyone out there can help calculate the odds of rolling something favorable on it with an Exalted orb

guys what u linked with ur lighting strike?
i have a big problem in running maps alone...i can easy do them, but i'm too slow because my ls just suck. atm i've 4L, because i'm trying to 5/6 L my chest, but this will need some time.
so in ur opinion what's the best combination to 4L and 5L ls? because i do very low dmg (4.8k) atm, and it takes long time to clr waves of mobs, so i just double strike them because its more fast. also i've a problem in the colour of the sockets... in a pure es chest its difficult to get 3 green and 1-2 red :|
what should i do? atm this is my chest

Solo maps is always hard as this spec and not what I personally advise. Hopefully some of your questions will be answered in a post I made on the original guide, go too the bottom under "Additional advice from other high level players" and there I explain what you can do too improve your play in maps etc. Personally these are the links I use for my LS



My chest is for my Double strike:



Even with that I could struggle to solo a 66 map if I wasn't paying close attention or trying very hard to stay alive. My advice has been and always will be to play with others and adapt your links/play style accordingly.

Is it possible to roll this chest RRGGB?



After buying this chest and looking at the dps differences between using LS in A 4 Link with Ele Dmg, LMP and Faster Attacks it seems that the dps increase is very little on my 5l chest because I lose out on Increase ele dmg(which seems to be the biggest dps inrease for my LS among all other supporting gems).

If its going to take me 10,000 chomatics to get this chest the right color I think Im leaning towards just reselling it and going for a 6s 5L that i can roll GGBBRR and hope it links the right one.
