so, originaly CI have +50% buff to ES, so lot of ppl like this build, but now is CI after nerf and it is what is it...but still, in game isn't so much equip with +%chaos resist and you cant have all time Blood rage up, from BR you have Frenzy charges, so if you are fast enough, you have 3/4/5/ Frenzy charges all the time and that is +25% attack speed, which is pretty + you can Flicker free without cooldown (till you have some frenzy charges)
Hello, If i took it really slow, would it be possible to make this as a HC character, I used your EK guide got up to level 65 and dies due to a silly silly mistake. I really wanna try a CI character and this looks awesome. My issue is I have no ES gear ready and waiting for me when i get to merciless, if I farm lots do you think it will possible to play this?
p.s. I have seen your Armour version but I just wanna try CI lol
you didn't say whether or not to level up the gems for summon skeletons + spell totems for progression. the mana costs are eating me alive. 70+ for lv 8-9 skeletons

good point, I think level 9 would be a good time to stop leveling up summon skellys.
@xlz107 - try and get some gear upgrades if you can, and keep spare resist rings in your inventory so you can max out the relevant resists needed. Especially since elemental damage is so prevalent in act3

An interesting point I'd like to make is a comparison between Maligaro's Virtuosity and Ondar's clasp. I mentioned before what a value Ondar's was for it's stats, how commonly it was found and how utterly undervalued it is for our CI shadow build.
These comparisons are made on my level 79 Shadow, his passive tree if you were wondering is here.
My gear aside from the gloves being compared can be seen here.
Spoiler
So it's been commonly agreed upon that Maligaro's is the best choice for gloves for the crit dagger shadow, and I don't disagree with this statement. The tests I ran showed Maligaro's is indeed superior to Ondar's dps, but by how much? The going market price for Maligaro's is anywhere between 1 exalted and 4 depending on the roles, greed of the seller and general impatience of the buyer.
By writing this I hope to illuminate some of the power of Ondar's clasp and hopefully knock down the over priced market demands for Maligaro's, since as good as those gloves are they are very comperable to Ondar's which is going for maybe 1-2 alchemy orbs at this point in open beta.
So lets take a look at the two gloves
The main selling point of Ondar's is the innate 20% IAS when on full hp, which we as CI built shadows are going to be, or we will be dead. The second strong suit is the added lightning damage, which is a boon for our build given the Arcing Blows node we picked up. Lastly the accuracy rating, albeit is modest is still a notable stat for us.
On the otherside we have a not-so-perfectly rolled Maligaro's, but enough so that even the average player could acquire this for 7-9 GCP.
It's strong suit is the dex roll, 5% IAS, the crit chance & multipler, as it's main selling points. While I thought the dex roll is a little low, and the multiplier isn't perfect they are generally perceived as being a strong pickup. But how strong in compairison to Ondar's was the question I continued to mull about in my head before finally deciding to invest in some.
Below are the damage numbers I ran compairing the two and the used skills in the CI-Crit Dagger Shadow build. The first set of numbers are sitting in town with no auras and no frenzy charges applied. The second set of numbers are outside of town, with one damage aura on (Hatred) Blood rage active, with 5 frenzy charges built up.
So what can you conclude from looking at this? What I gathered from it is that for it's price point Ondar's is a GREAT pickup for any CI Shadow not willing to drop a lot of currency toward Maligaro's early into their career as the price per dps is just negligible. For those trying to min/max on their crit chance and overall crit dmg you'll see a noticable spike once you've gotten yourself a strong base damage and levels, as well as some decent support gear around quality gems.
Maligaro's is still the best pickup for overall dps, but as you'll see in the comparisons Ondar's actually does more DPS for Lightning Strike when comparing just the values between the two gloves with no extra added IAS or auras, making them a worthy 2nd choice for best in slot on gloves for CI Shadows.
I have a question here, if anyone can answer I would love (if you have any idea's).
I've gone through this guide hundreds of times, and I'm currently level 70 like I stated. Now I followed his progress tree point for point. The only difference is I got the resistance in normal bandits, he took the passive. So by level 74, I should be behind by 1 passive slot.
However, when I do reach 74 I will be 2 behind..and I have no idea how. I've done every quest in the game - normal-merciless, so I'm not sure how I am 2 passives behind..I literally went point for point with the guide and I should only be behind 1 but I'm somehow behind 2. And I've gone over my tree hundreds of times looking at what I might of not re spec'd yet, but there is nothing.
