bought this some day ago need a second opinion if its any good for CI

I would give my left testicle for that. You could throw couple Fusings on it to get 4 links. It takes approximately ten orbs to get the job done.

Both your nuts for this:

If you're reading this, I'm probably on another year-long ban.
Thanks GGG.

what was exactly the CI nerf? or why its now much more difficult to built this char up?

CI node used to give you huge boost to energy shield. It was deemed to be too overpowered.

well why did GGG remove the bonus instead of lower it...

another question, the guide says "it lacks a bit on accurary because of the little dex"

isnt this a bit disgusting because the range LS waves dont hit allways?

It's not as huge of a problem as one might suspect, especially if you run a quality lightning strike your odds to pierce will benefit the mana leech you spec into. As well as Flicker spamming with frenzy charges up, if you ever find a templar running conduit you'll have a new best friend.

And my understanding is that they removed the amount from CI while retroactively buffing each individual +ES% node thereby spreading it out throughout the tree, and since you can gain more levels than in CB you're effectively going to have more ES in the long run.

Good to know, thanks.. so what else might be a good contender?

Weapon Elemental Damage, LMP, Faster Attacks, basically any of your support gems with quality see a nice bump in your overall dps when applied to your skills. Lightning Strike's is the biggest, most obvious one. Quality Flicker is amazing. Using it with frenzy charge spam makes you go at breakneck speeds. Viper Strike sees a nice increase in duration which means more damage over time from it, and as mentioned before Double Strike gets a nice attack speed bonus.

Thx for this statement

so how was the energy shield buff in numbers before the nerv? and how far expands the lvl range now with the 3rd act? (i like theory crafting xD)

To be completely honest I only started in OB so I can't tell you what CB stats were like. Doing some reading around this thread and the forum gave me the impression that the original CI was around 50% more ES but the general ES nodes were less than they are today, so when they removed the ES% from the CI node they distributed it amongst the regular ES% nodes to make up for that, in effect nerfing one skill but not really thrashing the ES stacking that has synergies with CI.

You'll have to ask some one like Ivalesco for the hard facts as he was the originator of this thread. You're going to run into a bit of difficulty from acts 1-2 and you'll notice mobs hitting a lot harder from Act3 onward, progressing through the different difficulties accordingly, each spiking more noticeably once you reach act3. I think the hardest point in this build is generally around the mid 50's unless you've gotten some gear stashed away, it can be a rough go and really puts you to the test on whether or not you're up to the gear/level grind.

Looks pretty good man, you got yourself a nice headpiece and shield for sure. How's your overall resistance? Have you made it into merciless yet? The DPS on your dagger looks pretty good so I'd imagine you should be running maps soon if you aren't already.

thanks for your help!

one last question

does fliker strike reset the cool down with frenzy charges too? and is it possible to have 2 different types of charges on the char? like frenzy and endourance?

im actually running an selfmade build based on this one,(no Ci) if it works (and im sure it will because of simple calculation) i will make a topic :)
