how do groups treat you?
The zombies (~17k hp) and the skeletons (~5k hp) provide great cover for everyone, with double (/triple) curse, 227% rarity on the crazy dps spectres, i haven't seen anyone complain yet ;)

Why exactly such a high dex + str on the build ... dont think that it will be necessary or is it?
Hey just some more positive feedback. After experimenting with this and the popular sporker build which i completely kited out in many exalts in gear. This build is sleeper OP and makes for absolutely the most easy clearing I have experienced to date. If I hadn't already seen on reddit that GGG was aware of this and doing a spotlight on it, I would ask you to remove your post because I'd say you're gonna get it nerfed. A tip I've not seen, spike shooters are good, however if you run with a group, the mages which cast arc also cast lightning thorns on your zombies. I'm currently torn was to which makes a better spectre, as the mages provide shock stacks and L thorns OP.

What's even better, this spec clears faster than triple totem and doesn't require shav's to do maps. You can actually see as you're not low life. Your dps is unhampered by needing to run caster gear and u can gear completely defensively without losing dmg. Sporker requires loss of dps for longevity.

Thought I'd post an update on this build. I've never done a summoner build nor an onslaught char so might be helpful for people who are in the same boat.

First off, the build is tremendous fun and I'd like to thank the OP for taking the time to post and keep it updated.

I leveled as Freeze Pulse (even though I hate it) adding LMP when I got it till about 37 (I think). Whilst leveling I first made a beeline for minion instability (not strictly necessary since your minions wont explode for much but useful for cheesing boss fights with Summon Skeleton) followed by Death Attunement. I was lucky enough to find a +1 minion gems helm (which I used for 2L skeletons + minion life for MI fun).

I then set about picking up all the minion related nodes as I leveled with the exception of early points in the Divine Toughness cluster near MI. Note at current time (level 47) those 3 nodes are the ONLY health nodes I've taken (currently have 970 health and 200 shield).

Once I got to 37(ish) I bought the boots (and Sidhebreath), replaced my off-hand wand with a decent kite shield (mine has 23 life and 35% all res so not bad for a low level shield) and went hunting for tentacle miscreations. Note that I was still on normal at this stage (late act 3 - just entering the piety temple) so I didnt have Spell Totem for skeletons yet (reward from last part of Cruel act 1). Also used a 3L in chest with Spectre, Minion Damage and LMP.

This (and every time you log in) is where you'll have the most interesting time. Attempting to find the entrance to level 3 of the temple (where all the tentacle ladies are) without getting randomly killed by Kolle on level 2. Fun times had I can tell you.

Once I got 3 and started playing full summoner I've had a great time. Whilst leveling your spectres WILL randomly get attacked (in my current case by skeleton archers I missed in Fellshrine where I'm leveling atm) especially as they are VERY aggresive and fast. I HIGHLY recommend getting at least 1 decent flask of animation (a saturated one seems best if only using one). Obviously that's quite RNG to generate one (especially for a new onslaught char short on currency) but very worth it unless you REALLY like fighting Kolle every 20 minutes. Note the biggest killer of your spectres until you get an animation flask will be physical reflect packs.

Currently leveling in the relative safety of Fellshrine on cruel (level 47). Using same spectre 3 link (don't have a 4L or chain/added chaos yet), skeletons on spell totem (no faster casting for that yet which is a bit tedious) and zombies on a 2 link (with minion life, didnt pick up minion ele resist from quest reward .... idiot!). Using Anger and Wrath atm with Purity instead of wrath if needed (only have a 3L for reduced mana atm).

Couple of things related to comments/gear of the OP. I notice you use minion speed on zombies - is this to try and counteract the stupidity of the spectres by ensuring the zombies get to stuff to tank it first? Did some testing on pierce (tried to kill myself accidently, don't test pierce mechanics on the same level as Kolle) and indeed it doesn't pierce, it just looks like it does because of the graphics (and the killing speed).

Overall, great fun! Don't take anything I've written above as "this is how you must level" - it's how I leveled and I thought it might be helpful for others starting on the "titty bitches" path.

@exxidus
str nodes are mandatory to reach healt nodes and the +2% maxresist node
all dex nodes are taken to give me enough dex for Temporal Chains, LMP, Chain and Hatred to level up to 20

@sepiacalamari
thanks for the warning ;)

@Fuddy
Really nice writeup, i agree with most of it!
The reason behind Minion Speed is that my lvl 19 20% quality Zombie gem has 64% movement speed zombies, they are as fast as Haste aura rares, cover up the screen VERY fast, and take those nasty hits from casters.
Tentacle Miscreations don't Pierce baseline, test it yourself, try one without LMP, or just tank one of them! If they did pierce baseline, Chain gem wouldn't work with them either.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback, also im updating the post as we speak with a couple more additions and information :)

Just did some more tests with a single one with no minions (almost died in the name of science!) and you are completely right.

I guess they kill stuff so fast and their shots angle relative to each other so it appears like they pierce. I shall edit my post to avoid confusion.
And a few hours later .... dead at 52 :(

Part bad luck, part lack of knowledge. Came across a lone rare in cruel act 3 marketplace that only hit me once before my minions took over - no different to any other time.

Except this rare had "Allies Deal Substantial Extra Physical Damage" and the one and only attack he did was puncture me so I basically killed myself running away from him (due to the bleed and total confusion meaning I just watched myself die over a few seconds despite 1.5k health). Genius.

Ah well, back to the start we go!
