I can't seem to install through the drag and drop method with developer mode enabled on chrome or not..

your dropping the .crx file into the "chrome://extensions/" page? it wont work on any other page...
edit: seems like something has changed in chrome. doesn't work when i drag it from the downloads at the bottom of the page. if i right click the file then go 'show in finder' or whatever, then drag it from there it works.
