For this build- Does the 1.5% crit chance that big?

I mean going from 7.1 to 8.6. what is the math on that?

and I am doing around 5k no charges, how much more damage increase will I see if the 7.1 crit was 8.6?

Crit chance is very big. DPS increase can't be calculated exactly since it relies on a lot of variables, but it should be a very big increase as long as DPS on the 2 daggers are similar.

Xymordos - the 475K DPS is with added fire damage,i used the highest possible DPS combination.I wouldn't use this with that dagger though.It sure is fun as hell but way to dangerous(i miss my level 84 self where i only cared about yolo DPS and having fun :P.If i level to 92 i will definetely put back abysus and go full DPS for a while just to enjoy myself.it is way to fun to pass)


Orzi - What Xymordos said.Also don't only look at the tooltip.Higher crit chance=more freqent crits= more consistent damage and leech


NinjaxDomo - Ur propably a new player.All i can say is do not care so much about DPS at this point,just play,have fun,and learn the game.Now to answer ur quetion,the highest melee DPS comes from critical builds.Out of critical builds shadow can have the highest DPS.Thsi does not mean in any way that he is superior to other classes.Also the biggest factor of your DPS will be your gear

I can't seem to progress with this build. I am a lvl 70 shadow, i do have mana problems and low resists, how do you manage not dying every time?

For this build, base crit chance is just a DPS multiplier. The simple math that is very close to reality.

So, increasing base crit chance from 7.1 to 8.6 eill give you 8.6 / 7.1 = 1.21 (21% MORE DPS). Decide yourself, whether it is good enough or mot :)

Are Rainbowstrides recommended in Domination as they dropped the All Res to 8% ?
Also, how long will I be able to use this dagger before needing an upgrade?

Get normal ES helm, sell that Aby... get mind drinker passive for 2% mana leech, ofc you will have mana problems. Use disc./hatred. Get doublestrike with splash and use it in parties (I use reave with conc. effect personally cause higher dps hence more survivability). Tree is good. Try and get res capped with rings and new Helm. Use CODT with enfeeble instead of crit weakness...

Ofc you'll die so much with so much focus on dps and your survivability basically crippled so much by that focus. Get your flasks sorted out as well, get some accuracy on rings. And head for that 20% accuracy node ( you can spec out of it later when you get like 800acc on your gear).

Keep that belt don't change for magnate yet. Also IMO get some good tri-res boots with speed (even without speed), since those strides aren't that good if you res's aren't capped.
