No! Reallocation of an effective health curve favoring mitigation instead of HP will fix the problem. I would have been happy with a straight linear reduction of damage and health as long as mitigation stays the same/improves. The real problem was that damage was so rampant compared to mitigation, that you had to just stack life because mitigation was devalued and endurance charges were mandatory. I say mandatory because the damage had to be "spikey" enough to have a chance to kill ranged characters, so life/endurance charges for melee were then barely able to keep up.

GGG is doing the right thing here, and I look forward to the change. Add in the phys damage buff, and my sword and board phys cleave/heavy strike should be a lot more fun in a week.


I am not sure what you are getting at here, my point is everything hits to hard. I have about 80% defensive nodes including evasion,es, high block %, and arrow dodging. I run both enfeble and temp chains when playing solo, and have blood rage on all the time so im between 10-15% life leech, max resist and immune to chaos. I still have to play like a bitch, when the only defensive stats im missing is higher evasion/es from having better gear.

All i want to do is be able to play more aggresive and not have the fear of getting rocked keeping me from being up front doing damage. If they do it by buffing evasion or reducing overall damage i don't care but if the reduction in ES is equal to the damage reduction and the evasion/amour change isnt much I am still sitting with the same problem.

But they are increased by physical damage, which is getting a buff, not "melee" damage.

Yeah, I am hoping they focused more on extra buffs on melee and not just physical damage.

Their conclusion in their description was: "Melee characters gain the most from these changes,"

FAUQ YEA! This patch looks awsome!! Very cool idea with eternal orbs. Does anyone know if they will be more or less rare than exalted orbs??

i just understood that there is NO anarchy-hardcore league.

why this decision?

i cant play non hardcore - because without the thrill these kind of games is by design so fking boring that i cant keep awake.

My guess is that they didn't want to split up the population too much but simultaneously give the 4-month leagues different flavors.
