I'm amazed

They give 3 options, including the completely full FFA, ninja looting with no allocations which you are going on about... And you still come here crying and complaining that the very thing that does exist, does not exist and that they have given in.

Sorry but what game are you playing and reading the forums for, as what you complain about is not in this forum.

A party leader can choose from the following item allocation modes for his party in 0.11.0:

Free for All: Items are not allocated to players and can be picked up immediately.

Short Allocation: The exact system we have at the moment. Valuable* items allocate to a random nearby player for a short duration. There is a small bonus if you're far away from the item.

Permanent Allocation: Valuable* items allocate to a random nearby player.

First post, first page of Item allocation thread right below this thread in the announcement.

What better for a 'hardcore-cut throat-ninja looter' than a mode that is designed for and populated by, only those? Which is what FFA mode is.

Unless, of course, you are a 'plastic-hardcore-cut throat-ninja looter' who is butthurt that you will now be playing with and are up against real claimants of this tag.

Hmmmm?

more like "oh man, here at GGG we are all about hardcore players, and we love ninja looting. we do not care about playerbase, as long as it is the most hardcore playerbase"

THEN ON THE FORUMS:

"oh no plx me so bad at game me die all timez. free itens plx. game 2 hard. im only 14 years old and me scrub plx. all people take my itens. plx"

pussying out the game GGG... you give into the pussys

a loot system has nothing to do free item's what are you smoking?

you can still choose to have FFA so play that and don't whine about other system's plz

free item's would be adding vendor recipes that give you instant exalted orbs for practically no effort.

Npc's with name, gear, skills, level and spec based on another player's.

i like this idea. It would be cool if the server took a snapshot of players mid combat at each level, then randomly pitted players against computer controlled clones of other heros at the same level, with gear, passives, skill setup, the works. What would be triple awesome is if you collected rewards somehow every time one of your clones kills another player out there, like the race points with item rewards perhaps, or bonus xp, I dont care what really it would just be a cool feature.

As for more endgame, yeah Im a big caller for a stronger endgame system. But we got to have a bit of everything, some people want tighter netcode, I want endgame, some people love new leagues, I think it sounds fun. Personally Im not done with the permanent leagues yet, my characters can still develop, Im still finding upgrades, trading, it's going great from a league stability point of view imo. The new helmets look cool, Im hoping to see more cosmetic changes to the game...

Theres a lot on the plate guys, and they have different people who work on different things, the guy making the helmets isnt the guy working on the netcode Im sure, and neither of them are designing the new leagues so things can and have to progress on multiple fronts at once. They have stated they like maps 'as is' and they are working on alternative ideas for grinding. All in good time people, save your tears for when it lands and it wasnt what you wanted :o)

^^^This guy gets it :). Give them time and GGG will come through. They have for the vast majority so far. No reason to doubt this game isn't getting better. Cuz it is, just in small steps one at a time.
I used to play Diablo 3, then I realized it doesn't have a Shabby Jerkin.

I'm not going to read through all of the 20 pages of comments, especially given all the troll"GGG sold out" rubbish above this post, but did anyone notice the name of the screenshot link?

I could be reading into this too much, but perhaps it's a rogue-like take on the game? I mean, it could just be that they think the character portrayed looks a lot like a rogue, but it could also be a nifty clue for us. Now, HC is similar to a rogue-like game, except you drop down into default if you die, and the experience isn't as ephemeral as a traditional rogue-like game. There could be some other stuff that they add into the anarchy mode to give it a feel that is closer to a short term arcade style experience.

What new auras? In the first screen I thought that was just the graphic for Righteous Fire..

"Oh awesome, this guy posted his current gear. Let me find him an upgrade!" ~Said no one ever.
In response to an earlier comment about soloing being a waste of time:

I agree, but at the same time I generally dislike other [new] people. I feel like I'm penalized for not forcing myself into playing in a group. I have 2 friends that play this game with me and they're not always on at the same time, etc. So most of the time it's just me and maybe 1 other person.

It really sucks to be out that quantity bonus because I'd prefer to only play by myself or with people I actually know.

Are there any plans for upping solo/smaller group difficulty to match a full group difficulty / quantity bonus?

I love this game and I really enjoy it, but I'm 97% sure I'm not going to do Maps with random people. I can barely stand doing group runs of Lunaris, Docks, etc. I don't feel like I should be penalized for not wanting to group with randoms or meet new people.

I understand the mentality and concept behind encouraging group play and essentially needing to be in a group to do endgame progression at a reasonable pace, but it would be nice if there were a way around it.

I'm sure there people out there that feel the same way, whether it be time zone issues and not being able to hook up with a full team of people you know or just generally not being interested in meeting new people.
except sharing currency for map sustain and having fun with friends, I think there isnt any gain/advantage to play in a party

I like the idea of diffrent leagues but,Do Poe Have the player base to support it? Im in HC right now, and it seems impossible to do trades, and when i do its generally the same people.
