This is great,
Currently Hard core has no appeal for me (just playing safe) So more interesting additions to the leagues are highly welcomed.

Hey Chris, i like all the work you are doing but i should agree when other players when they say there is so many leagues. If new league comes out i cant use all my stuff i farmed on HC and 1 month HC league. If good leagues come then i will never use the stuff i farmed before.
I look forward to a constant stream of new non-permanent leagues, they offer exciting possibilities to change the core game rules and establish fun new meta games. Should it matter that these new leagues cannot access your standard/HC stash? No, that's not the point. The permanent leagues will always be there, and the non permanent "event" like leagues offer something fun to do on the side. I tell you now, these new leagues are the future of PoE. They offer exactly what will keep me and players like me playing the game for the decade to come. If its not your cup of tea, HC isn't going anywhere ;)
I will say, if the new spoiled league is not what all the speculation suggests, then a such a league would be very, very awesome! It offers a fun and unique reward for dying, knowing that your dead toon will come back and haunt, and possibly kill other players. It'd encourage a very unique passive PvP sort of meta, and I find that to be a very exciting prospect.

But if everytime new funnier leagues come, then never i will come back to HC. And all currency i was saving for future characters never will be used...
And with more leagues the player base is more splitted and the trade will be harder, and find party will be harder too.

I think you all missed the greatest point in this picture.
It must be a completely new back story for PoE! That's obviously Hitler running away from one seriously pissed off Jew about to fry him up for revenge.

You already only advertise/purchase from a pool of 100 people that may or may not be looking at trade chat. I would probably guess as long as each league had 1000+ people in it, you'd hardly notice a difference versus 10,000+ people.
If we look back on Diablo 2 and its ladders for HC and SC, as well as default, you notice that when the league first starts most people will flock to it. As the season ends, many people will become attached to awesome characters they made, and will want to either continue playing them in default SC or HC, or very well may play both. Of course many people will also play in just one league, or possibly all 4 even.
It will be entirely too hard to call if these actions are bad/good for the game until at least the first season has ended 4 months after it comes out, but much more likely 1 year later once the leagues have stabilized first.
Variety is this spice of life, and games also. You hardly ever hear from games that have single and multiplayer in them begging more people to go multi instead of single do you? That's because all that separation is doing is taking out people you wouldn't have ever seen/noticed anyway.

I think the separation is good if the number of players is huge.
On D2 the number of leagues to play wasn´t so big.

It's already getting hard trying to find a party to play even in softcore. So many people have quit, with almost nothing addressed about that. Hopefully the revamp of crafting will actually make it worth being able to craft items ourselves, instead of just dumb luck.

I'll tell you a little story about trading:
Back when i played D2 most of the time i traded only with my friends and clan members but i did follow trade chat sometime. One day i whisper a guy and somehow we started talking, in english of course, somehow we discover we're both italian, then we discover we're from the same small-ish city and that actually we go to the same school and our classes are a few meters away, in a very big school. Now 12 years have passed and we're still friends, even if the initial trade didn't happen at all.
This makes games memorable, more than any number of exalteds or kaoms.

I've spent much of six years arguing that trading should not be easy. I still believe that. The way we're making trade easier is not the way you're probably thinking.
The problem is that trading is easy, if you have enough time. The split between "traders" and "players" skyrockets with every week. As everywhere, your gear is not related to if you play well by how well you spam and scam on trade chat.
You lost your battle by just allowing trade, with your approach I'm quite surprised that there still is no "self-found" league.
In my case, I have to choose, trading or playing. It means, that probably I will never see an exalt or 6L in my stash and to be honest, I'm more and more bored with grinding LT for hours to get few alteration... When you publish patch notes, I think, whoa what new unique, should I be exited? And no, because I will probably never drop it, so fu** it...
And it ends with tabs of small currency, as I can't buy anything useful for it and I have no time for it and using it for gambling (sorry but I'm unable to call it "crafting") it's just a waste of time...
Probably it's the same scenario for other players, after leveling few chars they just got bored with stagnancy, no time for trade, poor drops so no upgrades and no progress.
I wish I can share your optimism Chris but I'm quite worried about future of this game, quite a pity, as I like its design (except of desync and freezes which kills my chars quite regularly).
IMO making trading easier will have positive impact on majority of players in standard league and you have possibility to make would-be-cut-throats-ninja-scammers happy with league crated for them.
This.
People that use RMT will keep doing it and the majority of people that play legitly and aren't autistic will quit.
