Teaser of Anarchy League

To be honest, my first intuition to find RMTers is the currency exchange forums anyway.
If i was a seller in this game like i was in vindictus, that's where i would be.

EDIT: Removed the last chunk i had right here. Realized i probably shouldn't put in basically a guide on how to abuse those forums for RMTing in my post LOL. I really have to pay more attention to what i'm posting.

Really nice ideas you got there, but even less people will play on HC and that will make me feel lonely..!
Why do I have the feeling that the new leagues are inspirted by Magic the Gathering.....

I still would prefer to see a permanent Turbo league with less HP on Cruel/Merciless on mobs.

Is this the "big secret announcement"? Cuz there have been so many somewhat-huge ones recently i'm just completely confused.

Read the title of the topic. It says Anarchy LEAGUE, which means it is separate from hardcore.

This is exactly what he said.

I love how they keep focusing on stuff that needs to be secondary, FIXING SYNCH SHOULD BE THE NUMBER 1 THING this company should be working on, NOTHING ELSE.

When I was younger I thought the same thing. But the truth is, there are separate people doing separate jobs. Maybe if you gave them $200,000 they can afford everything they need to fix it today?

IIRC Chris used the word Resync. And yes it's supposed to be in this patch. Not the end all be all fix for desync, but an improvement.

Haven't seen this pointed out yet but:

I think adding 2 more permanent leagues risk fragmenting the player base even more. Trading is near impossible as it is and less players will make it more so.

I love the game but trading needs to be sorted out if you plan to split us up more.

Jumping from WP to WP posting an item in trade does work most of the time, so the players are there, but it's such a hassle, Chris. It really is off-putting.

According to my metrics/estimates, there will be more users in each league after the change than before. But yes, I agree that trading could be made easier! It's coming (albiet not super soon).

One potential "quick fix" would be to make trade chat global again, at least on HC (which I believe has a lower population than SC, where this change might not be viable). Using the forums is definitely always best, but sometimes it's nice to just be able to link an item you just found while clearing a map and have the assurance that you're reaching every potential buyer. Or conversely, browsing trade chat while waiting on a friend and knowing you're not missing out on something you could use.

Perhaps there are other concerns about removing the fragmentation though. I'm not sure how many trade channels there are, but I suppose it could scroll too quickly at peak hours depending. It seems unlikely though - even at peak hours trade chat moves relatively slowly (not including the people that spam 50 items at once). I think the best fix would remove the fragmentation, limit message length, and restrict usage of trade chat to once per minute or so.

The end result would be a more active trade chat with a much higher signal-to-noise ratio than before, likely encouraging more people to interact in-game to trade their items.
