ok, maybe I overreacted a bit, but I just thought it would be good to mention it during beta so they would consider the implications of it early on.

Sorry for this dumb question, I have never participated in one of these events... But do I just create a New HC Char when the Ladder starts or how does it work?

you need to make a new character in the race league which is up 30 minutes before the start (at least for the 3 hour races).

I have posted threshold prizes. There's a huge pile of random currency items available at different levels. Note that you have to still be alive at the end to get those prizes.
The purpose of those prizes are to encourage people to push forward to the next | |

" When you die in Hardcore, only the character and whatever he has on him gets moved to Default. His Hardcore stash stays in Hardcore. For expired events, the event stash gets moved to the Hardcore (assuming a HC event) as remove-only tabs, but they don't use up your stash slots. |
