Looting -- The official thread for discussing the loot system. Updated 18th March, 2013.
Well, I think that effective looting systems have already been used by most MMOs like WoW. All you guys need to do is to improve the current best looting system which is think is from WoW. No, you won't be copying. Just improving what currently there is.

" Wow's system (5-man Instances) is based on Tank, Dps and Heals. Usually when tank gear drops, the tank gets it, when heals gear drops, the heals gets it, and Dps gear is rolled on between 3 Dps. Unfortunately theres been way too many times of a worthless Dps who barely contributes, yet still gets the high rolls on all the dps gear. Imo this system is way flawed because.. 1. Very hard to get tank or heals gear unless you select that role... but having never played that role before, you suck at it because your gear sucks and your first attempts at playing those roles FAIL repeatedly until you are lucky enough to win some tank or heals gear. 2. Dps would simply tag along.. not really contributing..sometimes making things harder on everyone else.. and still have the same chance at gear as everyone else? SOLUTION: This game is nothing like WoW and if it was, I wouldnt want to play it. It needs a different system. If someone does more damage to a particular monster and they want the item that monster dropped, they should have the first crack at it. This doesnt mean the most powerful player will get every item. It means the most active players who are concentrating their fire on one mob at a time will have the item advantage, rather then some leech just spamming AOE spells and running around like an idiot. |

" Really? You see no issue with this for class balance issues? Honestly I don't think the loot system is bad the way it is, if you find that you're playing with complete assholes, leave the damn group. It's not that hard. Maybe the Default league is way different from HC league, but most people that play this thus far are pretty good about sharing drops in order to increase the team's overall effectiveness. KUDDOS to the team for incorprating this idea. I think it is great and will promote much more active teamplay. Any time period at all will give needed opportunity for my Ranger to grab desired drops. It is very refreshing to see a team who hears there community's requests and acts on them!!!
I will definitely be playing this game when it is released. |

For me it doesn't matter if its free for all or u take turns, i only play with my friends this kind of games, and if they still my loot, its simple, ill kick their asses.

an option will be for players who are making party should have a party leader who selects the looting mode
like FFa,roll,and leader distributing the items to the party at the end dungeon.. |

The best option indeed is giving the party leader the option to choose looting system before entering the instance.
Free For All, Round Robin ( rare priority loot enabled). Round Robin (rare priority loot disabled) What round robin means is that during the instance everyone gets white, rare, whatever color consecutively. Priority loot enabled means when players see certain items that boost their highest attribute, they will be given priority in a dice roll unless they pass on the item. Duelist - LordRyeX
