Sustaining a high level map pool is already extremely difficult. Not to mention his pool actually dried up quite a few times but he managed to bounce back up with help of others. In addition many players actually gave up but at least he didn't. That is some sheer determination and that alone is pretty amazing.

But if you ask me now, to give up over thousands of hours in this short span of time is no where near desirable to me if I am at his age. But heck, how many teenagers can actually see that? I wouldn't! When I was in the early 20s, I played the shit out of games!!
